The SARU Selection Policy Process

Since SARU is apparently determined to implement a policy to select players on a racial basis – these   type of games should be played on a regular basis and the idea is that the players should be tested under such conditions.   We already had three failures from the game yesterday - and the situation is clear,  those three are not real international  prospects,  

There are also a number of players with a chance to improve on their performances – three of  which are Schickerling, Snyman and Marx – but they are obviously of the wrong pigmentation, while I have always rated Notshe as a real international prospect – better than Kolisi by some distance.

So from that team we actually have got a reasonable success rate – but I suppose not to the extent that SARU would have hoped for.

 Selected from what pool?

Under the hand of the excellent men, resources have been going down and down at a faster, larger and harder rate.

Training requires resources and SA is on the path of depletion of resources. Rugby did not make SA richer, it made it poorer.

On this site, people failed to mention more than 13 in form players to be played in a selection.

The new normal to get used to is not a policy to select players on a racial basis.

The new normal is that, following the squandering of resources, it is not possible to train two professional squads of black players when starting from a 80 per cent black base.

The resources are simply not there.

To dress that fact, the selection will be sprinkled with a few coloured players (in form players)

The racial selection criterion still addresses white players since it is obvious that, considering its lack of success in all departments, rugby should no longer be practised in SA and is maintained only to please the white minority.
