There is no way that there can be anybody who is a Shark supporter that can think otherwise. They were comprehensively beaten up front and their backline was pathetic.
So what went wrong with the Sharks - it would in fact be easier to write about what went right.
First of all - their kicking game was pathetic. Lambie was poor, Jordaan's one kick was worse and to top if off Francois Steyn's was even worse. Secondly they were not defending well and too often there were clear overlaps that the Crusaders exploited.
Of the backline players the following were all sub-standard:-
All except perhaps Reinach - who did show some class
Of the forwards players who were sub-standard:-
All except perhaps Bismarck du Plessis, Thomas du Toit and Marcell Coetzee.
