Look, there are a few guys there that should not be there, but out of that squad, a very strong team can be put together! Rudy Paige, JP Pietersen, Fourie Du Preez have just gotten lucky, just like Coetzee, Brussouw, Hendriks, Whitely and a few others have been very unlucky.
I support my country and my team.

Go Bokk e!!!!

Well said BB, it's too late to change anything now, let's support the boys and hope they do us proud!

I would put Coenie in the lucky category too. Would have been tempted to go with Kitshoff even though he is unproven at Test level.
Paige was an easy BBE replacement for Reinach who wouldn't have seen the field except in junk minutes anyway as he showed nothing to inspire confidence in the RC. An argument could be made Paige is a better player for the type of game that we'll play in the WC anyway. FdP and/or Pienaar to play every minute that counts. Kolisi in much the same boat behind Schalk, Louw, Alberts.
No Frans Steyn.......
Otherwise a good mix of youth and experience and mostly to be expected.
And I agree with your sentiments BB - hopefully posters on this board can get over their own arrogance of opinion, get on board with the team and be supportive.

 My oh my!
Well with the quota inclusions plus the old guard we will not win the WC.
Sorry to state that but you have to be realistic.
Actually I am not surprised with Meyer's selections...par for the course unfortunately.

Not a bad squad. I agree he can put a decent team on the field with this squad. The team & certain players will have to improve in the pool games.

There are others who got lucky as well - think about Morne Steyn, Victor Matfield and even Jean de Villiers and Coenie Oosthuizen as well.  Have to support the team - but I have difficulty in believing that we will do well with the squad passengers in the set-up.

Wouldnt it be nice if ou oimatey would allow others to express their opinions without calling them arrogant. Criticism of quota and bad selections is the duty of every true Bok supporter.
Much to be annoyed about dispite ou JW mumblings on the topic!

Would be nice Beeno if you wouldn't misrepresent my comments. Nothing wrong with being critical or voicing your opinion - but when its to a degree that someones opinion matters so much to them that they can't even support their national team, or they denigrate players on a personal level to further their opinion - that's arrogance.

I say chaps, is this ragtag bunch of has-beens and journeymen honestly the best that you boers can put up for a rugby world cup?
Poor show chaps, a poor show indeed.

I'm sincerely hoping your lot lose to Scotland or Samoa so that England can have an easy semifinal. History has shown us what happens when stout English yeomen call the bluff of boer bullies and stand up to them.
Toodle pip!
