Given we are less than a year away from the WC, it will be difficult for any outside player to make the squad cut. By outside I mean outside the main and A squad players used. The broader squad as I see it is: Fullbacks: Willie / Fassi / Gelant Wings: Mapimpi / Kolbe / Arendse / Nkosi / Moodie Centres: de Allende / Am / Jessie Kriel / Esterhuizen Flyhalves: Pollard / Jantjies / Goosen / Libbok Scrumhalves: Faf / Hendrikse / Reinach/ Jantjies / Nohamba / Williams Utility back: Willemse Props: Malherbe / Ox / Kitshoff / Thomas du Toit/ Koch / Nyakane / Wilco Louw / Mchunu Hookers: Marx / Mbonambi / Dweba / Grobelaar Locks: Etzebeth / Lood / RG Snyman/ Jenkins / Moerat Loosies: PSDT / Kolisi / Wiese / Kwagga / v Staaden / Elrigh Louw / Roos / Dan du Preez / JL du Preez Utility forward: Mostert From the outside I’d look to include Rohan Janse v Rensburg as an option at 13, Tambwe on the wing, Gerhard Steenkamp at loosehead, Ruben Schoeman at lock and Vincent Tsituka at flank

Looking at the above list I am sure that Jantjies at flyhalf is past tense.   He will not play for the Springboks again.   The zquad for the WC will be limited to 31 players - so the ist will have to be reduce to 12 backline players and 19 forwards.

The 12 backline players will routinely include  4 outside backs, 3 centers, 2 flyahlfs,3 scrummies and 1 utility player.   The forwards will have 3 hookers, 6 props, 4 locks  and 5 loosies and 1 utility player.   I think the backline utility player will be Wilemse and the forward one Du Toit.

Wrong Rassie has already said Jantjies is part of the plans and rightly so The squad is an extended one, not the WC squad
