I have a suspicion that the strongest SA side just got knocked out by the officials.

I can't speak for Hakwa but I guess he's making the point that based on Saturday's game between the Lions and the Sharks, the Lions are not South Africa's strongest team right now and they only beat the Sharks because of some poor calls from the ref.
I won't argue the fact that the Lions are South Africa's best chance to win Super Rugby this year but that's only because they will have home ground advantage for the semis (and the finals if they make it) whereas the Sharks would have had to travel to New Zealand for their semifinal.
I also won't argue that the Lions deserved to finish above the Sharks in their conference based on their performance throughout the Super Rugby season but right now, the Sharks look the stronger team.
I think that's what Hakwa is on about but I can't be sure.

The victory should have been the Sharks on Saturday.
Jantjies was very poor and the rest of the Lions didn't exactly do much better ... but having said that, I don't think the Sharks are the better team of the two. Not yet any way.
Hakwa is into criticising officials. That's how he rolls. It's his only contribution on here when it comes to rugby and is usually accompanied by a high pitched whine.
Other non rugby favourites usually have something to do with his love for sh!t on d! cks and giving the glory to his god and sonny jesus whenever a kiwi team wins a match. The Kiwis seems highly favoured for some reason.
He feels threatened by the Lions and isn't sure whether his god will come to the rescue on Saturday ... and so thought it best to start this silly little thread in anticipation of a Canes loss. I'm sure we'll all hear about it if that had to happen.
Little does he know that his absentee god regards him as an abomination and has stoked the fires in preparation for his pending visit.
The poor dear is confused at the best of times.
Go Lion!!

What rubbish.....the Sharks are the strongest team? The Lions beat the Sharks in Durban, then beat them the following week in the QF.......in the QF the Lions had 2/3's of the possession, 2/3's of the territory.....they outgained the Lions by 120 metres. The Lions played a very poor game, the Sharks were at their best.....and were still beaten. They are not the best team by some distance.
..
What Hakwa means is the team that would have suited NZ didn't make it.....and the underlying innuendo is that the reffing favoured the Lions because of some sort of conspiracy to give the win to the Lions
....
It's Suzie in another guise.

Klop Moz. Spot on! Hakwa stirring as usual...very well stirred too. Brevity has it's advantages.

CC, I have to agree with Moz on this one. We all know the Lions are the best SA team this year. They had a bad game on Saturday, but that does not change the fact that over the course of the season, no other SA team has been as consistent as the Lions. My father was SA badminton champion a good many years ago, and one thing he said that still rings very true, is that champions win even when they are having a bad day. That is what the Lions did.
