.....when they are convinced the next newbie is Bok potential after one good game: Taute. Skosan. Jessie Kriel Allende Raymond Rhule Johan Goosen Raainacht Thomas du Toit Adrian Strauss ( yep many fans once wanted him ahead of Bismarck) Ruan Dreyer/Malherbe....reader’s choice. Lomp Stephanie Notshe Kleintjie Kriel Arno Botha Not one of these guys has helped the Boks win a key match. By contrast they have disappeared when the going got tough. Hell even Faf de Klerk helped us defeat Ireland, and he was quickly axed. Yet every one of these guys had rabid support. DCup was all over Taute, Kriel, Allende, Goosen, Raainacht, Malherbe, Lomp and Stephanie. Dave was for all of those, but throw in Arno Botha. Urinal thought Notshe was Springbok captain material.....going nuts about him after the Junior Bok games in 2016. What should we take away from all this? Simply that there are very few players destined to be established successes in international rugby. But those rare players are usually apparent to the shrewd observer......like this new Irish centre Farrell who was the MOM against Wales. Big, strong, aggressive, fast and with a real rugby brain. One thing we really need to do is find 15 players with real test credentials or potential and forge a team out of them.....rather than constantly trying to find the form (read flavour of the day) players anew every week.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaa!!!

Well Mozart ... none of us can compete with your wisdom ... especially when it's after the fact.

Please save us the lectures. The last one you gave us ... "egg laying counter ruck 101" was about as much as any of us could stand.

Thanks a lot!!

Mozart

You cam never get up to date and is always have  your pet hate players - something that happened four years ago based on performances at that time is always brought back in the most stupid manner a\possible.   Nobody can change his mind on any player and you are too stupid to know what performance means in rugby.

You can write as much BS as you like - but it is joke which turns into a bore,   In your case the stupidity is so great it loses its value as a potential  joke.]

To find top class players you have to look at top class performances - so you would be out in the cold since you have no idea about performances and relies on reputation and no-exoostong game plans.  You suppor the worst coaches in the history of the game with one minor exception - White who was reasonable - but had no idea about coaching of backlie players.    But then you also have the wisdom that good coaching cannot improve player performances = so where to now?

That's true ... you were one of the first, if not THE very first to write Marx off as second rate.

Then later, as is usually the case (after the fact) you decided to support him ... which was quickly followed by the usual "I saw him first" boast.

Lol!!!

How many times have you written Jantjies off ... only to reinstate him a little while later ... and then to suddenly distance yourself from him again after a bad match?

I can't imagine anyone quite as confused as you.

Do you ever find yourself on the golf course wearing the left shoe on the right foot?

You ‘can’t imagine’ anyone as confused as me. Sounds like you are fairly confused yourself. Actually in looking back on RG Snyman I noted a few of your old posts, and I will give you this, you always speak your mind, and therin lies the problem.

Most people on this board follows games carefully and objectively and try to make assessments of actual performance of players,   Take the cases of  Snyrman and De Jager on Saturday - they really were outstanding.    Both had deficiencies in the past - Snyman's ball skills were poor and De Jager became   worse during  his stint at the Bulls under Ludeke and Marais.

One would not recognize the same players under Ludeke and Marais and in the case of De Jager under Meyer as well -  so what did Mozart came up with?   Not a word about the improved performances of De Jager and Kriel   - neither the impact  Mitchell is having on those three  players specifically and the whole team in general;

In other words we were subjected to your standard BS targeting your pet hate players and a farcical claim that you have somehow discovered Snyman/   Sure you wrote about him 2 years ago, but it went straight over your head that ever since his junior days he had ball skill problems which  was a serious negative and eliminate him from higher selection/   On Saturday there was no sign of that deficiency and I think that Snyman would be the first to thank Mitchell for his help I'm that regard.

Th above is a reasonable assessment - Mozart's BS is not

Nonsense most people come up with favourite players, who then flop and then they blame the coach. All the players in the above team have had multiple opportunities and never become effective under several coaches. They were dumb, dumb picks Tokkie.... I tried to help you, now just live with it.

Mozart

At least most members post players on the basis of performance in games and  not on the basis of prejudice and BS  like you do.

You hate players like Du Toit - who only fools like you do not rate as a top class player and who are regarded by experts  as a proven test player.  What an ignorant fool and stupid BSter you are.

Further idiocy - he is according to him a world expert and is shown up regularly for the moron he really is.   Fact is he is filled by hatred for some sportsmen who have shown him up as a moron regularly in the past.

Filled with hatred for players? Nah, how can you blame the players. They are doing their best. Unfortunately their best is not good enough....which is why we haven't won at junior level for 6 years, why we haven't won at Super Rugby for 9 years....and why we are now ranked. 6th in the world. The problem lies with a me-too Bok strategy that has us trying to ape NZ rugby instead of playing our own brand of the game. To the extent that most fans now believe we can't win without a NZ coach. Jake availed himself of world class expertise in Eddie Jones, while still providing the cultural and tactical inputs which come from decades of Bok success. He didn't deny our history. Doing that is capituation that will inevitably lead to further failure. But it's the start of Super Rugby, so any fantasy is believable. In a couple of months reality will set in.

Decades of Bok success based on what?   The Springboks success rate against the AB's after re-admission in 1992  was very few and far between - in the four years under Meyer it was only achieved once and was equally poor under White,

So what style of traditional rugby are you referring to?   Your constant reference to that has been a joke in bad taste.   What one could make out from your writings it entails -

*    playing six tight  forwards devoid of ball skills;

*    having no regard to breakdown ball protection and recovery;

*    kicking ball possession away by the scrummy and flyhalf and passing the ball back to forwards making miniscule gains in territory in the processand losing possession as a result of aimless kicks by especially Morne Steyn;

*    the real and virtual only use of the backline is to defend and passing of balls to them as well as scoring tries is almost a mortal sin and never mentioned by you.

How many times do one have to say that nobody wants to play NZ rugby and that the idea of comprehensive team play where backline players is not only defense dummies is the way to go.

So according to you the coaches are not to blame for the decline in rugby.   and the six years of Junior rugby is as per normal a Mozart misrepresentation and farce as well.   The juniors won in 2012 and was the runners-up in 2013 and 2014.   They were never out of the top three except in 2017.   No team could equal that performance in the years mentioned by you and the 2018 series has not yet taken place,

Mozart - you are obviously caught in a time warp spun by yourself and really the greatest fool posting on this site,    You obviously suffer from Mozartitis - the description for total rugby - and other sports brainless contributions to this site..
