Since 2000, we've only lost to Australia on 4 occasions at home. From 1933 to 1999, we only lost 6 home games. We've lost back to back tests twice: 2 in 1963, and 2010 to 2011. There's only been one draw. Last year.
Our worst home defeat was the 1992 test at Newlands, when where we lost 3-26. 3 tries to nil. Our biggest victory was 53-8 win at Ellis Park in 2008 - though 61 points is our highest total.
In our last 5 tests, we've average 26 points to Australia's 13. In that time Australia failed to score more than 10 points in 4 of those tests. Disturbingly they jumped from that meagre haul of points to 27 in their last game in SA.
The Bok defence will need to be as good or better than it was against the All Backs. The Wallabies moved the ball very well against Argentina. That performance would have comfortably beaten most Boks of this decade. They may not play that well tomorrow, but we can't assume they won't.
