"Improved" does not mean he did not have it before.  This man is so irresponsible - it really is unbelievable.    

He's just a childish little attention-seeker which is bad enough in itself but what makes it all rather sad and pathetic is the fact that he is 70-something!

 
The bottom line is, is that every sportman, be it a rugby player, a golf player or a tennis player goes through spells of lost confidence.

It's called losing form.

Federer hasn't just discovered or invented his top spin backhand. He's had it for ages and has used it effectively for more than a decade.

What does Federer know about his own game in any case? He should come to RuckersForum and ask the resident experts before making irresponsible remarks about his game in the media.

It's standard procedure. He hasn't suddenly developed a new back hand. It's a stroke he's had in his arsenal right from the beginning.

The sweet spot on the bigger head has helped him since 2014. We've all seen him hit some beauties in his career. The bigger racket head just helps him not to shank as often.

That's where practice comes in.

Federer had a great top spin backhand in his hey day. Then for some reason he lost it and hardly played it. Then he sorted the problem. Anyone suggesting otherwise clearly hasn't been paying attention.Its debatable whether he is hitting his top spin backhand better now than in his earlier days. Commentators used to say he had the best backhand in the world. YOU CANT POSSIBLY HAVE THE BETS BACK HAND IN THE WORLD IF ONLY PLAYING THE SLICE AND CHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
