The unlucky.

There is heaps of talent at the moment in South-African rugby.The naming of the Sprinhbok training group surely must have left some players heart broken.In my book there are a few that are just falling short but could well feature in the Bok team later this year if injuries take its toll.In essence,looking at the selection of Lewies is a great example.PSD was the next best thing,but as we have seen so many times it is the man behind "the next best..."that comes through to get the chance.So looking at a few positions I thought these players were unlucky.

 

 

JLP,Cobus Reinach,Johan Sadie,Waren Whitely,Derick Minnie,Nizaam Carr,Lappies and Jürgen Visser.

 

All these players are not absolutely brilliant but they surely did raise their hand,and might later feature in the Bok setup.

I would add Jordaan to your list and also Labuischagne, Van der Walt and Lood de Jager.   The latter three are all out with injuries - so I assume their exclusion was for that reason.
Matter of fact I believe that De Jager at this stage should have been a serious consideration for Springbok colours.    

 I thought Lood was in that training group that was anounced.And I did mention Lappies Labuschagne as being unlucky.Not sure about Jordaan.I thought he was in the group as well.But I agree with all the abo ve.
