Wow Moz your takes on this player are laughable........you must really hate the guy after he silenced you after that AB game.
Have just watched the Bulls game again as I watched that one in the company of mates which always come with distractions.
The Bulls centres had really good games and I can see why Sas has Serfontein as his 12 of the week.
There was plenty of running set up by Hougaard, Potgieter, Serfontein and JJ.......who comprehensively outplayed their opponents.
As for JJ defensively I read this shit about him needing help etc and making little impression.......go tell Luatua that, when he smashed him into touch in minute 70 with great effect........in fact every time Luatau seemed to get the ball JJ had him.
JJ never had to go low as he was never challenged in open play.......all his tackles were good smother tackles in traffic.......he made loads of tackles.......missed one where he was stepped after a rush, which had zero effect as the runner ran straight into two defenders
But it was more about JJ's effectiveness on attack.......when he ran through the 12 in minute 5, hurting the defender in the process.
Then is minute 16, he beats Luatua with a good step and just before the half puts Ndungane away nicely to set up the Serfontein try shortly after
Soon after the half he adds a bit of variety by popping a switch pass to Basson
In minute 43 he has another good run at pace, but sadly Basson cuts in instead of staying wide
In minute 51 he has yet another good run, where we see his pace......he executes a good in out, but Visser stays on his outside, when he should have run an inside line
Moz keep trying bud, its utter nonsense......the ONLY reason I am giving Jean the 13 spot this week is because of that chip.......other than that JJ was more visible with ball in hand and busier in defence
