The Wallabies' defensive strategy is mystifying

They literally play a "hang back and see what happens" defensive style. Sometimes it reaches the point of parody, like this try by the French where first the Aussies just drift across, no attempt to shut down the space, just letting the French run. And then there is Suaalii standing camped just outside the tryline - and there he stands slowly retiring until France runs over the line right next to him. What on earth is this? They're going nowhere until they fix this crap, they're giving teams acres of space to run into all game long.
