after the leaked wallabies team email came out, which i suspect was hacked into by that dodgy rupert murdoch owned news ltd/corp. i began wondering what team did the spXV coaches actually pick?

from what ive gathered, the team list released was the final tally of all the coaches excluding waratahs coach cheicla, which means it wasnt the individul teams that coaches made and sent to deans, thats the list i would have been more interested in.
while i can understand folaus ommision cos hes green like a mofo, coopers one  was bigger, i couldnt imagine mackenzie not supporting cooper TBH, but then again, nothing would surprise me these days.

players were picked on a 3, 2, 1 system, 3 being a wallby starter, 2 being a wallaby bench player and 1 ebing in the wlaaby B team.

here is the team that was complied with the 4 spXV coaches input,,,

1 ben robinson (wraratahs)
2 stephen moore (brumbies)
3 ben alexander (brumbies)
4 james horwill (reds)
5 rob simmons (reds)
6 scott higginbotham (rebels)
7 liam gill (reds)
8 wcliff palu (waratahs)
9 will genia (reds)
10 james oconner (rebels)
11 digby ioane (reds)
12 christain leilafano (brumbies)
13 AAC (waratahs)
14 dom shipperly (reds)
15 jesse mogg (brumbies)

16 tatafu polotu nau ( waratahs)
17 sekope kepu (waratahs)
18 paddy ryan (waratahs)
19 hugh mecmeniman (force)
20 ben mowen (brumbies)
21 micheal hooper (waratahs)
22 nick white (brumbies)
23 kurtly beale (rebels)

some real in teresting selections from the coaches as a whole, no one rates james slipper, even with the two props per bench rule.
IMO slippers one fo the form tight heads.

general concesus is that  wycliff is the better No8 over mowen who IMO has been the form No8 of the comp. this is also without the benefit of micheal cheickas two cents who is the waratahs coach as im sure he would have gone with his No8, this was also surprising.

shipperlys selection was another i found very odd, didnt think he had done enough to warrant seelction.

beales is the craziest, i would have though the standards of the coaches would have been higher. no doubt that would of changed by now, as they made thier assesments before his second load of troubles.

i couldnt imagine why chieck wouldnt want to help the wallabies by submitting his two cents, maybe he should get of his high horse a bit, or is that a it too much extra work???
i like it when unions dont work together for their national rugbys cause, if that shit were to ever happen in NZ, that coach would be getting a well deserevd kick up the ass by the NZRU, just like nucriofa did when coached the blues.

one team to rule them all, one team to bind them, one team to find them all and in the darkness bind them.
All Blacks in a nut shell, everything in the NZRU domain is to better the All Blacks.

A LOTR reference in there eh, Gandalf? nice one.

Ver odd selections and omissions

Slipper omission is ridiculous. Gives away nothing to the other props in the scrum and is great in the loose.

Shipperly shouldn't be in the team - not even on the bench. Lions have some good sized wingers.

@oimatey,

i agree about slipper 100%, he never gives anything away in the scrum, very solid and reliable with a workrate around the field that impresses me every single time i watch him play.
not sure about him at loosehead though, has he played there??? he might have, i just cant remember it.

the more i think about it, IMO the most consistent packs in the 2013 spXV have been the reds, brumbies, chiefs and cheetahs, they haven had it all go their way, but they have way more often then not, im very surprised me saying thats, especially as theres two aussie teams in the mix.
the lions are going to be in for nasty surprise if they try to gain asendency through the forwards, cos the wallabies have some senior players in their team who are in great form and have been spXV hardened by NZ and SAs best.

good call on shipperly and the size of those wingers the lions are about to unleash, i cant see gatland leaving out odriscoll, which means manusamoa tuilagi to partner north on the wing??? should it be an all wales affair and be cuthbert and north, thats still a big wing pairing, albeit less intimidating.
maybe the answer right there would be folau and digby on the wings, with either bieber or beale at fullback.

@shezza,
(whisper) pssssst, u forgot bryce lawerence, now redit ur post before someone else reads it, -_o
