The weird Case of Juan SMith

I was watching the Toulon Glasgow game - something like watching paint dry - and concentrated on what Botha and Juan Smith achieved.   Nothing much of note - Smith did defensive work - for the rest he was knocking on balls.   Nakkies was in fact on the team sheet and he was on the field of play because he did carry the ball once for about a meter and got tackled and he did miss two tackles.

Neause there was nothing much to watch - I was thinking of the weoird case of Juan Smith.   He was due to an ankle injury out of rugby and then made a comeback for the Cheetahs.  The first pre-season match and he injured his ankle again.   He announced that he us unfortunately not able to continue with his rugby career due to the injuy recurrence.

However - he had to get out of his Cheetahs contract and used the recurred injury as an excuse.    Our Juan is a shrewd chappy and six months later he suddenly has no more injury problems and popped up playing for Toulon.

We may ask the reason why Toulon and the answer is two-fold, namely -

*   Toulon offers extremely attractive pay packages; but of even more importance,

*   Since performance is not a requirement of Meyer to be selected for the Springbok squad in the case of foreign club players - the easiest way is to sign a foreign club contract and selection is automatic. 

Why play in Super 15 and work hard to be selected if you have a free ticket by signing a foreign contract?     In any event - performance is not really important in Super 15 either - Meyer will pick his favourites irrespective how bad they perform.

Dunce - did you read what I said.   It was like watching paint dry that game - I watched it till about Minute 55 and thought that I have seen enough   The final score tells it all - Glasgow scored a try and Wilkinson kicked another penalty after I stopped watching.

You missed the whole point of the posting - but that us normal with you,  Mental constipation in evidence.

I watched the next game - the Leicester - Ulster game - and that was an interesting and really absorbing game.   Really good rugby and not like watching paint dry.

Pienaar was really outstanding - the best player in that game and better than anybody in the other game as well.

Now - birdbrain - you still missed the key point of the posting - even the heading indicated what it is about.   It is about the miracle recovery of Juan Smith from his career- ending injury and  the reasons  for his decision to play for Toulon - especially the second reason about Meyer's absolute addiction to players attached to Clubs in Europe and Japan.   They do not need meeting of any performance criteria to get selected.   Time after time these buggers fail when they have top play real rugby and not the Mickey Mouse stuff they play for their clubs.

I apologize all round for swearing and must say this Ceradyne is one character I have list respect for completely.   Winding up is a thing that can be done without being personally offensive and making personal attacks of members the way this excuse for a member does.

There are two ways of dealing with typing and writing errors made by members,  namely  - 

   * a nice friendly way of saying something like "surely you mean" for instance; or

   *  there is the nasty personal way trying to make out as if the person commented on is a fool because of a typo for instance.

You always choose the second option and if there is one thing which that demonstrates it is that you are a vicious and nasty person - definitely not a gentleman.    

As I said above there is a way of winding up people to get a response - but nastiness and crude behaviour is not the way to go.

Anyway it seems that the latter comes naturally to you whenever there is any opposition to your partisan way of looking at issues.   I will in future do best and just ignore your comments - and unless you stop being vicious I will just ignore your ranting . 

1. You did not like the idea that I pointed out that you did not understand the context of the game, that you used for your argument.
2. You did not like the idea that I did not support your conspiracy theory.

When that became  clear, you decided to start the personal attacks and insults.

There is nothing about a little typing or writing error. You did not have the counter arguments or you were not up to taking the argument further, hence your insults and swearing.

Why didn't you just stick to what you started and provided counter arguments to what I have said? Why didn't you try and convince me that there is more to your idea of the recovery of Juan Smith, than just a silly little preconceived opinion? Why didn't you prove to me that you did and do understand the context of the game in the competition, i.e. the reason why it appeared to be a dull and boring game? No, you wanted to stamp your authority and tell me to piss off. Now here is my own little theory. You do not have the answers/counter arguments, hence your personal attacks and accusations.
