The Welsh test on 28 November 2025

This "test" falls outside of the test windows and all the S A players playing for foreign clubs will be gone. So in some positions we will have a player shortage problem. The squad is as follows - highlighted the players leaving the squad after the Irish test:-

The 36 man squad will be reuced to 22 players - not enough to play a full playing sqiad of 23 players, That means the squad will have ti use

So it is likely that Erasmus ill ahve to call up circa 2 playes if he wants to have a full team against Wales,

To be on the safe side I think 4+ players will be called up - id so in the following positions L-

Some of the players from the Stormers and Sharks will be in Ireland on 28 November anyway. But for the two franchises they face Munster and Connacht and it may weaken the frachise teans if they have to give up key players,

So who do you think would be called up to make sure all positions are adequatly covered?

Nobody commented on the above and here are the call up list or what is left of it - those not avaiable or already caught up is highlighted:-

Juarno Augustus, Neethling Fouche, Bongi Mbonambi, Salmaan Moerat, Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Evan Roos, Vincent Tshituka, Lukhanyo Am, Sebastian De Klerk, Makazole Mapimpi.

My guess is the most likely players to be called up would be Salman Moerat, Roos and Mbonambi. Moerat will represent no loss for the Stormers - and if a wing is to be called up it will be De Klerk. In fact Moerat is useless and Mbonambi and Mapimpi is already on the retirement list. Even without a ban Mostert will not be available and he wil be in Japan by 28 November 2025.

That may mean if a hooker in fact is needed and Mbonambi is not to be called up the hooker to be called up with be from the Stormers or from the Lions - since Wessels is on the banning shit list as well. The Court case in Ireland involving Wesels will not be finalized before that date.
