There is a time to fall on your sword....

....Alistair a decent man, who is doing his best has reached that time. Not that his players have helped. They have been truly pathetic. It's Alistair's misfortune that he started with a new team of very average players. But he has compounded these problems by ignoring mature options like Pienaar, Bismarck, Vermeulen and Frans. By chopping and changing, at flyhalf for example. By not having a clear game plan. What international coach is so naive as to believe the new game plan played by one of five teams, can instantly be absorbed by players from the other teams. And when that flopped....early, switching to a traditional game plan clearly not suited for much of his team. Apparently nothing is going to change before Wales, but it should. You see it in football all the time....lwhen Jose Mourinho was fired by Chelsea in spite of winning the League the year before. Coetzee should have been gone before the YE tour. It would be nice if he negotiates a settlement and simply quits right now, He has lost the legitimacy to lead....it will probably never come back

 Have to say whatever is going on and I know Allister, it is not working. I was hoping that things worked out well for him but it seems not, I don't know if this is to do with those above or if as most think he is not up for the job. This leaves SA with the decision on who is up for the job, at the moment I cannot see many knocking on the door and no doubt SA would not entertain the thought of a coach outside of South Africa which could be the way forward.Having said that I am not happy with Rassie being coach of Munster as do not see him doing much for them they need to play as they always have because what he has brought in is not doing that good.

 Rassie is a flimflam man.

 Coetzee must go, the sooner the better. SARU is going to do an end of (y)tear review, why, Coetzee's results are in.....Useless must go without further delay after the Wales test.

 There was a reason for ignoring chumps like Pienaar and Fats Fransie. They're useless and have been for near on a decade.  
One isn't selected to a position because of decency. You either have the necessary skill set or you don't. It's not a popularity contest. Alice wasn't qualified to begin with. He was a race based pick. His skin colour and his willingness to promote racism in the sport was all he needed to qualify.  I'm sure he knew that right from the start and yet didn't have the integrity to turn the position down.

It would not have mattered who Alice brought in. This ship was always going down with him at the helm. How could it not? There is no end to his incompetence. It's limitless. I don't know anyone less suited to the position. He doesn't even have a little bit of logic going for him. Coaching is not his strength and how he's lasted so long in this profession is beyond me. I wouldn't appoint him to coach the local under 10's.  
We saw his incompetence as early as 2004. He was pathetic then and is just as pathetic now. He's learnt absolutely nothing about the sport and the profession of coaching in all this time.
He's an embarrassment to his chosen profession and to the country as a whole. People will snigger behind his back as he passes them by in the mall.  
We have the talent to be a top contender ... to challenge for the no 1 ranking ... and all it takes is a Jones type coach to guide us ... not a pretender like this damn fool.
He should be ordered home immediately to give an account of his failures and then promptly dismissed. I wouldn't allow him to continue with the test against Wales. He's done enough damage and that in less than a year.
