wrong with Bok rugby that cannot be fixed.......Eddie Jones proved as much when in the space of weeks he fixed what needed fixing. The Boks don't need to emulate the style of play of either the AB's or the past great Ozzie teams, any attempts to do so would be a disaster. We have our own unique style and played at an optimum level it flows into favourable results. Fact is when our style of rugby is properly executed then we're effective and competitive against the very best teams in the world. That's how it was before re-admission and that's how it is since re-admission. When we beat the AB's and Wallabies it's not that we play like they do, truth is we don't generally have the appettite and culture across the park to play the running game and it goes against the grain if we're attempt to do so just like it goes the grain of the AB's and Ozzies when they need to play tough tight games with no free flow of the ball. It would be great if our skill levels improvd though, matching the AB's on that level would be a quantum step forward, however, it's important that we keep Bok structures intact.,and this is where I think young Goosen will prove invaluable, not eaxctly a Larkham or Mark Ella ,more in the mould of a Merhtens or even Carter and defnitely not a Wilkinson, the type of pivot the players around him will understand and be able to respond to. We really don't need a flyhalf who has more tricks than Houdini ........just ask the Ozzies they had one in Quade Cooper.
