There's one other thing....

amongst many others that I find annoying about Coetzee and it's something we saw him do at the Stormers....selecting midgets. In rugby size matters.....ideally the player should have the necessary skill set but to flood a team with midgets is a recipe for disaster. The best we can hope for is that he learns but I fear he has a mindset of his own far removed from what actually works.

 Who are the "few" midgets?

 Laumape is no midget, he's not tall but by god is he a unit!

 At 1.77m and 103kgs I wouldn't class Laumape as a midget.
Aaron Smith although on the small side comes in at a wopping 83kgs for a scrummie....I'd have that! Hell....we have a winger weighing in at 87kgs.
The only real midget is McKenzie but he's surrounded by heavyweights whereas the lightweights in the Boks are surrounded by other lightweights. It cannot work.

The Stromers back three - wings and fullback - plus at least one center  -  was real midgets in the Coetzee years,   They were speedy but popor in defense and the result was clear -  in Super 15 for three years the Stormers had of the poorest try scoring records.  in the series,    
I do think that a small quick fullback joining the backline - like happened in the case of McKenzie is a real advantage  for a team.
The problem is that the backline players like Serfontein and Kriel are nott really thinking players,     Lets give an example  in this case.   Dribble kicks in the opposition 22 is poften resulting in tries - but the placing of kicks to avoid the nearest opposing player to the balls are essential.   Serfontein tried it once in the Argentinian test and the ball went straight to the full back with a result that the Argentinians scored a try.t.   A newbie like Viljoen does it regularly for the Stormers and cause tries to be scored regularly.    Reason =- possible recpients are nowhere in sight,
I wopuld rather see Van Rensburg and Vorster at center for the Springboks than Serfontein and Kriel.
