This week we have three Sharks in the starting 15, according to one group of experts. Par, given there are 15 teams would be one player from each S15 team....do you get that Rooi Adder?
So how do we get Ludik, Reinach, and the Beast in the TOW, along with Steph du Toit in the 365 team. Well you start with disinterested, non existent opposition. Never have maul tries been so easily achieved. The gaps for the backline to run into were huge....and so you get 3 or 4 Sharks.
Some might say that scrumhalf play depends on pressure......the same point could be made about fullback. There was none for the Sharks. Not their fault, they came on there and executed flawlessly.....but one can't help but remember the Brumbies blowing them out the water.
The point is not to denigrate the Sharks....I think they are a fine team. It's simply to wish for something that vaguely represents a cogent thought process in the selection of these teams.
