No coach would d what you suggest here - it is really not a serious consideration - now is it?

It is a very serious consideration. The Cheetahs need Goosen to take control and it's not happening. He doesn't have the personality for it and his body won't last the distance. Willie by nature is a fighter and has far better instincts than Goosen. Let the Goose play at the back put those running skills and boot to better use. But then if Drtotske was to thin outside the box he would be doing so outside his own head; and quite a little box it is too. Sure, lets rather ruin both players because orthodox thinking confirms it's right. Oh so typically South African.

Sun-Tzu - agree with you. Cheetahs have nothing to lose and I can see LeRoux much like a Foley who has been lighting it up. LeRoux would need to cut out a lot of the 50-50 stuff though. Whenever he shows up at first or second receiver in the backline he seems to get something going. Makes all the sense in the world.
The idea has been floated on this board in the past, the problem is whether the coaches will like you say "think out of the box" and like Mike says give it serious consideration.
Goosen is a shell of his former self out there right now.

As you may recall, I have suggested this before. Willie is the only SA player who has time on the ball, because he creates doubt. In this regard he reminds me of Larkham. He often takes the ball in 10 channel anyway and his arsenal includes imaginative chip kicks, penetrative passing and acceleration through the gap.
If we want a flyhalf who could spark the running game, it's not Lambie or Goosen it's Willie.

play le roux on the wing where his errors wont hurt his team as much.
IMO meyer knows this, thats why le roux didnt play fullback for the Boks against top teams last year bar a couple and one of those was from the bench.
moving le roux to the wing would also allow dannilier a chance to start at fullback, but forces a tough decision regarding rhule or hendricks.
i say drop rhule to the bench, but thats cos i need hendricks cheapness in the fanatsy league, lolz, :oP

Willie makes no errors on the wing.

Sun Tzu, unfortunately I have to resort to Bro Maaikie's favourite game now. Willie missed 5 out of 5 tackles, on the wing, in that game.

Sasuke San: Hendricks earned me -6 points in fantasy rugby last week. I was going to look at dropping him this week depending on other trade that may be needed.
I agree Willie would be better on the wing.
