This AB/Lions test was very similar to Bok/AB tests

The Boks so often, in the WC for example were in the lead or close to the lead for 50 minutes. It's the last 30 minutes that count and neither the Boks nor the Lions were able to maintain intensity. There is always an incident that is seized upon, for example today Teo botching a try by not committing to the outside. But that's not it....it's pure energy.....the incidents aren't the game. ... Face it the ABs were horribly disrupted with Ben Smith and Crotty going off, and Cruden was a weak link, his lack of pace releasing Williams. But still they found a way to dominate. ... Were it not for that wonderful try, this would have been a very depressing day for the Lions. They should start Itoje, and maybe Cole needs to be considered, Furlong provided very little. But it's looking uphill from here.

...i think you'll find Cruden was'nt the first one to miss Williams or the last...two or three had a crack at him but Williams showed the class that he showed for his Pro 12 Champions team Scarlets... probably the try of the series that one...

When/"if" a team stay within range, New Zealand will often score most of their points in the last 25 minutes.
Once everyone gets tired the game opens up, then New Zealand can use their superior passing skills to maximise the space. 
I think the All Blacks being fitter is a major factor, but having 15 players that can catch and pass very well could be an even bigger factor.
