is clueless, ja I know I'm stating the obvious but that's only a starting point for selecting a respected coach.

So who else is there? There's not much to choose from but my choice would be Naka....why not!? I can't role with the dumbell, Ludecke or with the always promising but never delivering, Coetzee or the next round of disaters in the wings at the Sharks,Brendan Venter or would you role with the plenty of bark but no deliverance, Mallett?

Naka has done wonders with very little,  his team plays great rugby, with a good support staff I'm sure he'd harness the best talent around and point them in the right direction just like he's done with the Cheetahs.

 Denny the wise move is to give Meyer a chance. He did well last year after all!

 Saffex you have to take on board the amount of players that suddenly became unavailable to Meyer, him coming back to coaching rugby after 3 years and then being thrust to a national level coaching position with barely any preparation. Ofcourse he's going to take a conservative approach and do the familiar. Meyer has done damn well considering the circumstances and deserves some loyalty, respect and trust. He's won 3 Super Rugby titles, he's proven himself worthy. 58% doesn't paint a true picture, 2 draws aren't accounted for and the team performance for some of the games we lost was better than our opposition but out goal kickers were off. Last year was always as I said, a year if survival and conservatism, this year is going to be the true reflection of Meyers team. 

You may say that his selections are terrible, but you'd have him pick a completely inexperianced team, England had an inexperianced team at the RWC 2011, they did terribly. 

 One positive thing I can say about Meyer is that he is enthusiastic, a players type coach. I guess he will need time to settle in but In NZ they don't allow losing during this settling in period. Don't know how the SAfrican fans will handle losing & hope you all find your mojo soon. Rugby needs the Boks to be a top team.

Beeno has a love affair with that other pretender Rassie Erasmus who as you know has input into HM. So while Rassie, of rooftop gimmick fame has a connection, Beeno will singalong with the clueless Meyer.

The question is ... how long will it take for a relatively inexperienced team of highly talented youngsters to gell?

Obviously one will keep the core like Bismarck, Strauss, Etzebeth, Louw, Jean, Habana and maybe one or two others in.

As far as I'm concerned replacing chumps like Jannie, Kruger, vd Merwe, Spies, Pienaar, HouGat, Kolisi, Steyn. Basson, De Jongh, Aplon, Kirschner with the talented youngster, cannot be that bad an idea. You have leadeship where it's needed as well as a little experience to call upon.

I watched a young Bulls side this past weekend transform itself within two halves.

I'm not a fan of the Bulls but was most definitely cheering for them the last 10 minutes. They adapted and played for each other. Impressed me big time!!

You cannot tell me that the talent in this country, managed and coached properly won't stand up and be counted by years end. I can't accept that.

It would be a whole lot better than suffering these out of shape hasbeens for the sake of ... welll ... who knows what ... continuity???

Exactly right Clean Cut....you can't have half the team consisting of no-hopers, the idea is to make it hard for the opposition not the other way around. It all but sums up Meyer.

We didn't have an inexperienced team in 2011, Shezza........not really ! That wasn't our problem. Some of those players were very experienced indeed. We were just a very poor side, on and off the field.

Inexperience had nothing to do with it....we can't use that as an excuse, sadly ! :)

Mike Tindall was fined s25,000 and kicked out of the England rugby squad as Red Rose bosses finally got round to confronting their World Cup shame. 

Two months to the day since Tindall committed what was termed "a level of misconduct unacceptable in a senior England player", the Gloucester centre got his comeuppance. 

Chris Ashton and James Haskell were also each handed suspended fines of s5,000 for breaching the team's code of conduct in an episode involving a hotel chambermaid. 

But it was Tindall who bore the brunt of the Rugby Football Union's anger as he was docked half of his s50,000 World Cup payment and removed from the Elite Player Squad. 

The Rugby Players' Association labelled the fine "extraordinary" and "unprcedented" and confirmed that he will appeal.

Tindall's offence was to cavort with blonde Jessica Palmer on a drunken night out whilst England captain - and just six weeks after marrying the Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips. 

He was then found to have misled the England management about the chain of events on that fateful night in Queenstown. 

From the moment CCTV images (above) of Tindall's antics emerged the spotlight never left England and the team's fortunes went into a tailspin. 

As one off-field problem followed another, the shambolic campaign became known as 'Mike Tindall's stag party'. 

Rob Andrew, the RFU's professional rugby director, said: "Mike Tindall's actions reached a level of misconduct that was unacceptable in a senior England player and amounted to a very serious breach of the EPS Code of Conduct.  

"Whilst we acknowledge his previous good character it needs to be made clear that what he did will not be tolerated."

Andrew insisted the punishments were "commensurate with the level of seriousness of what occurred", but others were unconvinced. 

Mark Cueto, Tindall's team mate and close friend, tweeted "#Shambles!!!!!" 

Former star Austin Healey added: "25k fine is wrong. Tindall has been made a scapegoat. He set bad example but (Rob) Andrew trying to justify his position." 

Yet to this day the 2003 World Cup winner has not acknowledged any wrong doing, and refused team boss Martin Johnson's demand to admit his mistakes. 

Johnson's failure to control that situation would appear to severely weaken his case for reappointment, especially in light of the action taken yesterday by his line manager Andrew. 

Will Carling described the fine as "huge" and Tindall's treatment as "v confusing. For drinking? Lots were out that night drinking?" 

Which is true but Tindall, 33 years old and a player with 75 caps and more than a decade of international experience, had a duty to set the tone.

By not acknowledging the error of his ways he gave the impression to younger members of the squad that such behaviour was acceptable. 

Manu Tuilagi, England's youngest player, later revealed Tindall had asked him to kiss his head as a try celebration. 

The idea allegedly was to recreate the infamous CCTV freeze frame of Tindall being kissed. 

Iron Mike failed to score a try so the pair instead performed the 'celebration' at the airport whilst waiting to fly home - a move branded "pathetic" by then RFU boss Martyn Thomas. 

In a separate incident involving female hotel worker Annabel Newton in Dunedin, Dylan Hartley was cleared of any wrongdoing. 

Andrew said the allegations of "very serious wrong-doing" made by Newton against Hartley, Ashton and Haskell were "entirely false". 

Nonetheless, he ruled that Ashton and Haskell's behaviour had breached the squad's code of conduct.
