This is the disaster I saw coming.with Meyer's crazy Squad selection.

Instead of going for the real players - Meyer decided to go for the bloody has-beens and never-has-beens.   As if that was not enough - Meyer picked the worst team from that squad he could possibly select.
This was crazy and absolutely unbelievable that a coach could bugger up that much.  It is time that we realize that the players like De Villiers, Matfield and Kirchner are not international standard players anymore.   This is spilled milk already - we can be sure we will not make the quarters - it was a disgrace on any account.
The worst thing Meyer did was to leave out De Allende and break up the De Allende-Kriel center combination and leave out Le Roux.  That killed the backline and we have to seriously consider whether Meyer is the worst coach SA ever had.      
The worst performer today was Schalk Burger, followed closely by Kirchner, De Villiers, Pienaar and  Matfield.   Schalk never di9d anything which he did not bugger up and Kirchner was useless with aimless kicking and no idea what to do with balls he caught.
I would like to see what the Meyer admirers on this site now says.  What is clear is that Dave and I - with a few others were correct when we said the squad selection is crazy.  What do they say now?

 Dont talk rubbish about schalk who worked very hard as Jarvis is saying right now.Kirchner doesnt  have a clue. We need a scrummie who does  a lot more on attack than Pienaar. Pollard isa lso more dangerous. Allende and kriel . Willie at 15. A completely different kettle of fish.
We needed Eben and Lood at Lock. We need a pacy 6 in this match like Jaco Kriel.
As I said 2 years of poor planning and all the various factors came home to roost.Eddie Jones was the star of the day.

Four ball possession losses and one penalty given away right in front of the goal posts donated a number of three points to the Japanese.  Four possession losses by one player is a disaster and that is a fact.   he tried to flip the ball twice to players and both failed badly.
Where I do agree with you is that it was poor planning that caused the problem - hence my comments on Meyer's squad from the word go.   What is apparent is nthat meyer buggered up badly from the start.   
What can be clearly stated is that Mozart is dead quiet about this one and that we have now reached the nadir of Springbok rugby ever.  How he will explain this one to us will be a real eye-opener, but he is going to duck and dive and not brave enough to admit that he supported a fool all along.

its mindboggeling that we see schalk more in the first receiver from second and third phase ball on quick ball.....fatal pattern execution. what can one expect from meyer. the man has been out of his depth for 3 years now

Burger was probably our best player along with Lomp...Perv is clueless as usual.  

 burger was busy yes but on other areas lacked in his core 8th man role.....to behonest the uptempo high ball possession jones approach completely out witted the one off runner bully meyer tactics.....imagineless rubbish....this game pattern took me back 30 years to be honest.
the game has changed.
