Sadly, Trevor Nyakane's RWC is over and he will be replaced by Thomas du Toit.

Bit of a blow for the Springboks in my opinion. Thomas du Toit is not a bad tighthead but he's not the power scrummager that Nyakane is.

A key scrum against say England and I have no faith Thomas, who does better at loosehead, or Koch will take the pressure.

Rassie chose Thomas the Tank because he provides backup for both tighthead and loosehead. He won't be the starter or even the bench option for the big games but if another prop does get injured then he'll move to the bench, in either the #17 or #18 jersey.

All quite logical if you ask me.
