No rugby fan should condone blatant foul play.  The hit on Carter was fair play, the hit on McCaw was not (according to the Judiciary). No comment from you guys about the fact that Tomas should have been red carded during the game of course. I guess that was not a "bent ref" situation, lol

Ward, I gotto agree with you here. No Thuggery should be accepted from anyone. Some folks here are very blind when it comes to the Boks vs whoever. I didn't see the incident between Lavanini and McCaw, so I can't comment on it, but foul play is foul play. No matter who commits it and a gainst who.

Nobody likes really dirty play but oaks like wee mcaaaw shouldn't provoke.  He is being held together with strapping and one hard tackle from an angry Vermuelen could be the end!  Now nobody wants to see the end of Ritchie do we.

 Ritchie justs dusts off the wee fly-speck hits and continues to have a fabulous winning career unlike Taquiri ,Cooper,greyling and the froggy eye gougerie and Tomas the not-so tank-like wee engine that couldnt [ and shouldnt] and so on ....

Cheating is cheating. While violent play should not be condoned, neither should the cheating play of Mccaw either. Even the other New Zealand SuperXV teams complain about his approach to the game, and he does get tramped on by them as well.
Their is a difference between an open sider flank like George Smith pushing the laws to slow the ball down or compete in the 50/50 situations, than flat out cheating. 
Mccaw when he played about 2 years ago against the Boks was the most unsporting play I have seen in rugby. He is lying on the ground at a ruck on the other side. The South African scrum half looks to see where his flyhalf is, the referee also glances up to check the backline offline status. Mccaw watches the referee look away, places his arm in the ruck onto the Bok side, and pulls the ball onto the New Zealand side. Just as the referee turns around, Mccaw puts his face down and pretends that he is doing nothing. The referee then assumes that the Bok scrumhalf has knocked the ball on and awards a scrum to the All Blacks. This is unsporting conduct. Anyone who condones this type of play condones cheating. While taking the law into your own hands is not the way too go, it happens with Mccaw because players are getting frustrated with his cheating. He has taken professional cheating beyond a level that is sporting conduct. He should be penalized more frequenly, even if it is after a match where their is video evidence.
