All this wasted energy on the off field shit when we have a huge test coming up this weekend Logic tells me that given how dominant we were in the second half of the 2nd test, we should hopefully have taken confidence from this believing we had once again found our rhythm after years of no real game time together. So expectations are that we will carry on from where we left off. The Lions changes have not improved the side, it’s probably the same strength On the positive side for the Boks, the inclusion of a real lock in Lood at 5 is a big boost with reference to grunt in the engine room. So our scrum should be stronger which will be a worry for the Lions. Equally our line outs will be better equipped with Lood, Mostert and Eben as options. On the negative side the loss of PSDT and Faf is huge - two of the best players in the game. Mostert will do a job at 7 with plenty of heart and energy but unfortunately with little physical productivity I was hoping Vermeulen would be ready so it’s Wiese again - I’m not convinced Reinach in for Faf is good in respect of what he offers with ball in hand but he needs to sharpen up his service which was ponderous in his last match. Too many steps before passing is never a good thing I’m not sure why Jantjies was not elevated to the starting 9 spot I don’t get Kwagga and v Staaden being on the bench - makes no sense There is no positive in having Morne on the bench, let’s hope he just keeps the bench warm I expect the Boks to win as they are the better side and have the momentum after the second half of last week But it’s going to be huge and anything can happen

The Boks are weaker. The Lions have made a wise selection at 15 that could turn the tide of the game. The Boks didn't get better, the Lions simply got worse under the aimless high balls. The Boks looked absolutely toothless throughout, having nothing to offer than the lifeless sham of a high ball. The rest of the spectacle is watching both sides shamble around in a daze like frantic chickens to track and retrieve the bobbler. Chickens don't have hands, unfortunately. That says it all. It really depends how the Lions are going to play. It's there for the taking, if Gatland is brave enough. If not, we'll see the same spectacle unfold and it's a lottery from there depending on who copes better with those hacks and whether the ref is so slanted towards the Boks again.

50-50...on the field...all in the head...if this was a once off game, Boks would have taken it by 30 at least....hope we still do.

I'll  be worried if it's still close after 60min with those replacements coming on. LCD, Symonds and Vunipola all add pace and ball playing/carrying ability against some pretty tired legs.

I don't have any confidence in our two back rowers on the bench.

The Boks will win. Gatland will lose the tactical battle.

Faf's disruptive defensive presence may be what we miss most. Reinach has never struck me as a proactive player on defense.
