It was a thrilling match that could've gone either way in the end hence why I didn't make any prediction. I admire the way the springboks played especially in the first half. There was good composure between the forwards and backs, the way players were linking up with passing was superb in attack. The springboks lost momentum in the second half allowing the ABs to get back in to the match due to the poor defence and other factors but i'm pleased with the result and enjoyed the win but I think we can do much better in different areas of the game.
Despite the win I still regard the ABs as the No1 in the world. The ABs have quality players at their disposal like Sonny bill Williams, Rene Ranger (Best 13), and Cruden who wasn't part of the match. If the boks can win with those players in the opposition It is then fair to say the boks are no1 in the world and is better than the ABs. Next year we should find out.
Superior players in the match:
*Duane Vermeulen His contribution this year has been far more greater than any other number 8 this year in my opinion. He fully deserved man of the match. His work rate with ball in hand and in the ruck is what makes him the best number 8 in the world and I think he has proved it once again.
*Handre Pollard was brilliant overall. He controlled the game well with his efficient kicking. Pollard scored two tries by attacking the line with flair which is what a good fly half does, I can't help but wonder why Meyer didn't start him against Australia away from home.
*Julian Savea Always looked dangerous with ball in hand, he is the type of winger no player would want to defend against. Cornal Hendricks had trouble defending against
Savea hence why there was a replacement in place.
