...are we too fussy about Fassi or is Fassi not fussed?

The guy hasn't had a good game for his club in two years and on the evidence of Saturday he's still nowhere near it.

One could understand if he was in some slight bad touch and had a few off games, but this is way more than that. It's getting to the point where I'm starting to wonder if the form he was in two years ago was just a run of luck or something.

I understand that injuries have had a say, but based on current form, should he even be in the squad? Current form is probably the wrong phrasing. It's basically his longstanding from at this point.

Granted I missed a few Vissies games this season, but I honestly can't justify wanting him near the Bok squad at the moment.

For me, send him packing, tell him he needs to regain form at club level and then he might get another look in.

...or do you hang on to him based on the player he was 18 months and two injuries ago?

By the same token, to Moodie or not to Moodie. I get the feeling the dude's been well off the boil recently, to the point where I'd say the Bulls should have gone with Gans at 13 in the final.

Fassi hasn't played in some time, but the same old issues from even before his injuries persisted - the propensity to kick possession away, poor judgement, getting caught out of position, etc. I won't start him in a test at this point.

Agree, we have good full back cover. Horn, Willemse and `Kolbe can play 15.

He doesn't seem to be able to pass the ball properly. His pass to Kolisi was horrendous, no zip our nice float and dip on his passing. He was good in the air a few seasons ago and had shades of Isreal Falou who to me is still the best modern full back. He has pace and fantastic gliding run, but on Saterday he ran straight into a gap and then couldn't link with his outside backs.

Then there is his positional play. He was nowhere near covering the backfield when the line was broken. Especially when they ran in a try from 50 meters out. In one of the replays you can see him tracking across the field and then way to far over which allowed the player to pass inside and allow to cut back and score near the post. Maybe he should do a few rounds of 7's and play as a sweeper to get that defence working.

I think he is on the same path as Am, deteriorating and living on past glories

"By the same token, to Moodie or not to Moodie"

Moodie still has some credits to spend. He has had a few good games this season. On some occasions, he was the only Bulls player making things happen. Also, difficult to shine when they keep reverting to box kicking and he gets so little of the ball. I can't recall the exact games but I remember commenting on a few threads that he's still our best 13 and I'd probably not have done that if he wasn't doing well in that game.

However, I do agree, he's not in great form.

The good news is that oupa Jessica Kriel seems to get better as he gets older. Year on year, I'm liking him more despite not being a big fan to start with.

Still, I can't believe Fassi. There was a period there when he looked like pipping Willemse for the 15 jersey...for me anyway, and I'm a massive Willemse at 15 fan.

I'm not angry, just disappointed haha
