 true that Cloudy about Fruean. You can tell Rennie and Smith have focussed alot on his defense and getting involved in the game instead of his wandering aimlessly/lazily around the field when playing for the C rusaders. Top marks for man management at the Chiefs.

as positions on the ladder was irrelevant, i found myself cheering for the crusaders and felt bad for them when lowe made that intercept.

but the better team won at the end of the day, and spXVs best coach dave rennie can cross of beat the crusaders in chch off his checklist.

regarding fruean though, i dont think hes reached 100% match fitness yet.
i thought he was very active the first 20mins, but he went missing for the last 60 IMO, it was the same ol same ol as far as i was concerned.

his defence needs to be taken up another level too, cos leelo and crotty broke through his tackles a number of times.

rey lee-lo IMO had a much healthier workrate, but it was only the first game and im sure fruean will come right, right enough to be in All Black contention after the rennie and smith combo are done with him.

 I rated this the best S15 game this past week-end.

Yes, Read and Carter really do make a difference to any team that they play for.
