Today is the Great Rugby Indaba

What will come out of it?   My guess is bugger-all - after all it is a meeting of nincumpoops.

 Well ... not all the nincompoops are there. 
We have another on this board that would be well suited to the gathering.
They'll be discussing which of the tired and useless to bring back ... and I can bet you that Fat Fransie will be top of the list.  
He is after all the "Sonny Bill Williams" of SA rugby ... and has a "world class" kicking game and can at least "distribute" ...

Better than having Mapoe, Jantjies, wee Whiteley and Kleintjie Kriel

 Have you ever got over your "sh!t-on-the-brain disease?  Mozart.   

This Indaba could be a smoke screen to fire some of the support staff (the clown of defence is apparently gone already). 
Then SARU can fire more of them- but make it appear it was the results of the best rugby minds in the country. 
Stick is useless, as was the now forgotten defence coach.
We can't get a foreign backline coach because of the politics, so we need to get in the Cheetas or Lions as they are the only teams that can catch, pass and run at angles

"Acting SA Rugby president  Mark Alexander has labelled the two-day national coaching indaba a success.    According to Alexander the indaba had mapped out a new way forward for South African rugby.

The country’s six Vodacom Super Rugby franchises all attended with Springbok coach Allister Coetzee, his management team, referees, former national coaches and captains for the two-day workshop to address on-field performance by South African teams.

“These have been two of the best days in my time as a rugby administrator,” Alexander said.

“The willingness of the coaches to share their insights and the energy they brought to the discussions was outstanding. We have built relationships and opened conversations over the past two days that have not been a traditional part of our very competitive and combative rugby landscape.

“We asked for collaboration on day one and we got it. But the proof of the pudding will be in the outcomes and I am glad to say it was very solutions-focused two days.”

Coetzee said that he had been excited by the Indaba. It had broken new ground by mapping out a number of interventions at the elite level of the game.

“We shared ideas on where we are strong and where we can improve in all facets of the play,” he said.

“We will be producing a document as a result of the discussions we have had around different skill sets and the Super Rugby coaches have agreed to allocate time each week in their schedules to focus on those elements.

“We will also be holding an Indaba solely on conditioning before the end of the year and having opened this conversation we are planning to hold a follow up session between the Springbok management and Super Rugby coaches before the start of the 2017 Super Rugby season.

“We know that the impact of a two-day Indaba won’t be felt immediately. But the work we did here was not the end of a process, it was the beginning of a new way forward.”

With that leadership and the deficiencies in coaching abilities it is clear this was a talking shop with zero ultimate impact.   Ackerman was correct when he said that they discuss the playing styles as well - but summed it up y saying that Coetzee would decide on the style.   There is only  one style Coetzee knows a nd that is Jake-Balling and the BS produced by Meyer in the WC last year - ie the Bulls style of rugby of 2004.
I cannot see how there will be anything positive coming out of this talkshop.   We all know the real problems -
*   seriously deficient coaching;*   the unprofessional conduct of the various unions - especially the minor ones; and*   the quota selections causing havoc in performances.
Unless team selection is based on merit and not race we are going to go down further and further.     

 In other words ... each franchise will continue as usual. 
There will be no changes to how players are contracted and who pays their salaries.
There will be no change to how coaches are appointed at each franchise. 
After all is said and done ... the brainless Alister will continue with his racist selection policies ... he will continue without a game plan ... and he'll continue scratching his head to a style of play he doesn't understand. 
A waste of time and money.
