Tpmorrow is D day for Zuma

The Speaker has decided that the vote on the No Confidence motion in Parliament will be by way of a secret vote.   And I will follow the debate with interest.
Hope Zuma will be kicked out.

Do you reallly trust Ramaphosa more than Zuma, Blikkies? IMO, he is just as slelm as Zuma and the rest. Problem is that he is clever as well.

 There are serious divisions in the ANC  with pressure on MP's coming from -
*   The ANC Elders - many with them much respected in the community;*   The Churches; and*   The trade unions
to get rid of Zuma.
A recent opinion poll will also scare off the MP's - 64% of the ANC voters said they will not support the party in 2019 if Zuma remains as president.
And there are ambitious members too who may be frustrated in their career hopes if Zuma stays on and use stolen money to bribe members to vote for his wife.
I do hope the vote  will succeed in getting rid of Zuma - but there are so many ifs-and-buts.         

 Vlag,No trust at all, but I once read an interview with Roelfie Meyer and according to him Cyril is quite a nice and intelligent person. Personally I do not think he had anything to do with the killings at Marikana.If #1 has to go, heaven forbids we don't get Dr. Beetroot.

 Yes Blikkies. Dlamini-Zuma will be just as bad as stortkop. With Cyril there is still a glimmer of hope.

 I prefer Sisulu from the ANC crowd -  but Ramaphosa will be a vast improvement as well.  
The Rand has shown a marked improvement since yesterday and if Zuma goes a much stronger currency will come to the fore.

 Cera, I think Blik thought of Dlamini Zuma...she was also involved in the Aids controversy and wasted millions on the Serrafina II or III  B'S. Beetroot was Msimang (spelling) and she kicked the bucket shortly after getting a new liver that could have gone to someone younger.

ANC members voting with the opposition - 30ANC Members who did not vote               - 10ANC members who spoilt their votes        - 10
This is bad news for the ANC - they could not reach the 201 votes that makes up a real majority in Parliament.   They will now be regarded as a coprrupt party with a corrupt leader.   

Correct Draad. I assumed that Blikkies was referring to Manto Tshabalala-Msimang. She did kick the bucket yes and the reason I said that she drank her liver into the ground twice was because it came out, after she got her second liver ltransplant, that she got whiskey smuggled into the hospital while she was being treated.

 Well, Zuma survived the no confidence vote by about 20 votes. The fcker is moving ever closer to being booted. Hopefully he'll be gone at the end of the year.

 What was quite interesting was  that in their speeches none of the ANC speakers did not defend Zuma at at all - they hardly mentioned him.  
It was all  about the opposition striving to collapse  the ANC Government -  based in a lie of course.    So Zuma survived - but seemingly being put on ice by the ANC members until the end of the year,    
If his equally crooked ex-wife is selected as ANC leader ion December, the ANC alliance will split up and that will mean the ANC - by now known as th4e Association of National Criminals - will not survive after the election of 2019.     In a recent opinion poll 64% of the ANC voters said they will not vote for the ANC in an election.

Are you saying that all of the ANC speakers defended him while hardly mentioning him. In addition the opposition's efforts to collapse the ANC is based on a lie? "It was all about the opposition striving to collapse the ANC Government - based in a lie of course."

 No - they did not defend Zuma - they said the ANC has problems and they would self-correct on the way forward.   It was all about the ANC - nothing about Zuma.
I think that there are a number of court cases coming up that could seal Zuma's fate, namely-
*   Zuma's  appeal against the re-instatement of the 783 criminal charges against him - scheduled for October 2017;
*    Zuma's request that the Public Protector's reuling as to the appointment of a Judicial Commission of Enquiry into Sate Capture;
*    The Dlamini Investigation ordered by the Constitutional Court; and
*    The Constitutional Court Appeal of the EFF asking for an order that a impeach procedure against Zuma be instituted.
In the meantime there is also the Parliamentary Committee investigation into the capture of state corporations - where the defense of Zuma is already in tatters and the ANC members will not protect him.  
I think that the faction of the ANC is placing their hope in the December ANC electiove conference to get rid of Zuma.   If the crooked Dlamini-Zuyma wins the ANC presidential race the ANC will struggle to win 30% of the votes in 2019.   That is based on the latest opinion polls where 64% of the ANC voters said they are unlikely to vote for the ANC if Zuma or his protegees remains in power in the ANC.
People may say opinion polls in SA is inaccurate - but before the municipal election the opinion polls indicate that the ANC would get 54% of the vote - in the actual election they received 53.9% of the vote.  That is more accurate than in most weaterb countries.
The matter is getting worse as well - the Churches are involved in an anti-Zuma campaign and they do have influence in the Black community.   Fact is the Zuma faction is getting weaker and the opposition against him is growing.
I do not think the opposition parties wants to get rid of Zuma at this stage - the longer he stays, the stronger they become and the weaker the ANC becomes.

 OK - it was a mistake - the NOT should not have been in the sentence.  

All good then. Now we just need to ascertain whether the opposition parties' efforts to "collapse the ANC govt" is based on a lie.

The Opposition has no chance to collapse the government before 2019.   It never was a motion of no confidence in the ANC.   The removal of Zuma is not the same as remocval opf the ANC Government.   It would open the way for Z\uma to be dropped aand for the ANC to select a new President from their own ranks to serve up to 2019.
The usage by the ANC as if it was never about Zuma and change it by themselcves into a no confidence motion in the ANC in facts represents a lie on the part of the ANC.    The fact was repeatedly stressed by opposition speakers during the debate.
   

@Mike, I knew exactly what you were referring to. I was taking the piss....... again. Be that as it may, IMO this vote of no confidence turned out exactly the way that I hoped it would. Couldn't have ended better. My reasons for saying this is the following: 1. It clearly demonstrated that their is division in the ranks of the tripartite alliance, which is great. 2. Had the vote gone through, they would have selected a new president and the way I have come to know the eleoctorate, they would have equated the new president to the coming of the Messiah. That was exactly what happened when Thabo Mbeki was ousted and replaced by JZ. He was going to be the be all and end all and everybody wanted to give him a chance to make his mark. And, boy oh boy, did he make it. He even had you fighting his corner on this very same message board. 3. With a new "saviour" at the top, the ANC would have gained renewed support by the "peepull" and they would have supported the ANC en masse. Don't get me wrong. I know that there will still be a few million blind supporters but they would not have the massive majority the had in the previous elections. If they do get a majority at all.

Really felt for the Botswana athlete Mokwana,barred from entering the arena ,due to noroviris.Been noticing some athletes cramping up and finishing way behind in races,now know why.

Makwala has been allowed to do a time trial tip e of run a few minutes ago, MR. It was a 200m run all on his own in order to take his time to see if he could qualify for the semis. His time was good enough and will be running in heat 1 of the semis later tonight. Wayde will be in heat 2.
