It's clear, we got bullied against Wales. I had anticipated the Boks fronting up physically, but that was not to be. Once our big ball carriers were negated, we ran out of ideas and depended on hopeful kicks to get us behind the defence. We struggled to play the ball wide, as we have all tour. This was exacerbated by our lacking of ground beyond the gainline. Considering that 25% of our runs ran through the above players, we were well and truly stuffed.
The Boks have made good developments this year, but they need to expand their game if they are to be a genuine threat at the world cup. The limited kicking game is already one we can't execute reliably. It's our only real weapon.
