I can't help but agree with PDiv that SARU should have chosen the new coach sooner rather than later. He has a point and a December date would have given the incoming coach just a little more breathing space. As it stands, players will be in competition and the new coach will only have a few days to prepare against the POMS. Mediocre form from SARU once again, is there anything, anything at all that hints of professionalism in what they do?

Pdv is right. The problem maybe that there are only a few candidates willing to apply and that their availability has been complicated by contracts and that has delayed matters. Some are suggesting snor might be an interim Bok coach.

How about Heineke Meyer?

Meyer it will be. Te big difference is one man earned i tand the other didn't.

Meyer goes in with the respect of all. No more will the team be run by senior players. Discipline will come back.

I note though that Ray Mort was saying of the two he prefers Smal. Thinks Smal has the better experience than Meyer. But also acknowledges Meyer as being agood coach.
