It was 16 years in the making, but Mike Tyson has finally returned Evander Holyfield's ear.
No, he never disposed of the chunk in the ring in 1997.
It turns out Tyson kept it all along, and now it is back with its rightful owner.
In Foot Locker's perfect world, at least.
The two former boxers feature in a one-minute spot promoting the best shoes "that can right all the world's wrongs."
"I'm sorry Evander," a subdued Tyson says to Holyfield's blank stare. "It's your ear."
"My ear?"
"I kept it in formaldehyde."
Tyson and Holyfield, who have become friends since their boxing careers ended, then embrace.
