Can the baby boks redeem themselves? I think this will be a serious evaluation of the quality coach Bafana

Yup, not dominating the collision, being bossed at the ruck, conceding so many penalties. No creativity with the passing, everything just goes wide. Those who get the ball hang onto long, poor kicking not to mention the line out.

Please Please, fire this quota of a coach

Oh well, blobby boks made it through.

Semis:

SA vs Ireland

France vs England

France just looks to be next level. Theirs for the taking.

Don't have much hope of getting out of the Semis.

Hoping for a firm pitch in the Ireland semi.

Is the coach poor because the results are displeasing? Or are the players not able to play better rugby? Perhaps it's a case of a bit of both? Funny how option three is seldom on the table in these discussions. The determiner is to look at what the shapes and patterns present, and how the players are coping within the gameplan. It's obvious when the gameplan is at fault, but it's also obvious when the players themselves are not offering much within the gameplan. I haven't seen the game, so cannot make a definitive statement. It's something to think about.

I vote for you to be roped in with play analysis Dex.

Don't know what we currently have but the top six nations have squads of laptop analysts.

Well, the only reason why they won is when they went back to their forward dominated play. I noticed that the shade of the team drastically changed and so did the teams performance in the 2nd half.

The backs had some searing runs down the touchline, but it all came to none as they either ran out or they would just make silly passes. Hooker, the 12 was good at getting over the gain line, but that was about it. He nearly butchered a try by holding on and got caught short of the line.

We see how well our school boys play in the craven week and in the school league but when it gets to the baby boks they seem to forget how to play.

Already answered by the game against IT as this type of matches do not require much of a gameplan.

Been stated many times, young players in SA play to be noticed by scouts not to grow as players.

That quota tale is sound for anyone who wish to see otherwise than SA rugby lagging behind in training and drilling.

Was a crazy decision game. The Argies needed a bonus point but went for poles in the first half instead of the corner. We went for taps instead of the corner in the 2nd half. No shelter in Athlone from those Cape winds, esp trad South Easter.

Ireland really geared up for our semi in all quarters of the game. We've had more solo performances and Smith has kept us in touch through the pool stages. Havn't a recognized hooker so won't win many line-outs which will be crucial.
