Unconvincing by Boks
Rassie continues to play russian roulette with his selections there's no-one else to blame other than him.......it's become a joke. He's not building combinations. I struggle to find a sense of direction to what he's trying to achieve, why he persists with ignoring the abundance of talented younger players at his disposal.....why he persists with playing Kwagga at 8, why he persists with Van Staden and why he continuous to select newbie 30yr olds with an eye to the WC and future.
No coach has ever had the abundance of talent that Rassie has at his disposal but that's a fat lot of nothing when it's not being utilized to its full potential.
..
Willie had his time, Mpimpi has their time. Two world cups, what else do they want?
I don't see Rassie backing Fassi in all 3 games.
Who is our best team. Our backline players probably have a other year left in them, max, the same can be said of our pack.
Rassie keeps talking about that he wants a squad of 50 players.
I just don't see who benefitted from this game. We are seriously exposed at 6.
Why not give Hannekom a crack at 6. He is good over the ball and is explosive with real pace.
Wonder who Rassie will pick against England.
Not going to be an easy game after losing in the dying moments against NZ and Aus. This will be the hardest game
I think for the next match Rassie needs to go with his best team. My pick would be
- Stenekamp
- Marx
- T Du Toit
- Etzebeth
- RG
- Kolisi (No other 6)
- PSDT
- Wiese
- Williams
- Pollard
- Moodie
- De Allende
- Kriel
- Kolbe
- Fassi
- Ox
- Bongi
- Louw
- Klein
- Hannekom
- Hendrikse
- Hendrikse
- Arendse
For Wales, I would make sure combinations are picked.
- Stenekamp
- Grobbler
- Wilco Louw
- Klein
- Mostert
- Kolisi
- Louw
- Hannekom
- Hendriks
- Hendriks
- Arendse
- Esterhuizen
- Am
- Moodie
- Fassi
There has to be a succession plan if there isn't one in place Bok rugby will implode after the RWC.
The biggest challenge facing Rassie will be eventually letting go of players who he has had for some time and are like family. They have been through a lot together. Bonds have been formed.
Rassie has players devoted to the team and is emotionally involved. It's a very difficult time for our great coach.
Wha bothers me = and I am ure Brown as well - is that the backline from an attacking point of view was totaly impotent and that means some re-orginaion is necessary.
KC's backline seems to be the answer, hee xception of the ebch were Willie le Roux would feature. and not Hendriks, Playes like Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Willemse is seriously missed from the backline. Erasmus idea to have Le Roux getting a 100 caps before ending his career as a est player is certain tht he will somehow eature in the remaining two tests this year and will star in one of the july ests t be played is evident to get to his hudred caps. He is at present on 97 caps and with only 3 to go he is bound to retuire by July 2025 from playig test rugby.
.
...and Ox is our best loose head by far.
It has nothing to do wih age. We know Willie has another three tests to get to his 100 caps before retiring from test Rugby and Mostert was a stand-in player and showed nothing again on Saturday and the there are repacements for virtually every older player bar Marx, Etzebeth, Du T oit, and De Allebde, with Willemse an alernate all round backline player.
We also know that Kolisi and Pollard are going into the coaching set-up. We also know that here are repacemen players for most other positions. In the main better players than the incumbents. are all ovrhe show.
Any other rugby nation would salivate with the prospect of playing Esterhozen at centre…..but Dud will be back on Saturday with his unique brand of the slow motion tractoring and inability to anticipate anything,

He also thinks Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu is destined for failure.
Competition for Baboon-ou, ou Maaik and Moffie as the biggest rugby noob on here . . .
Van Staden Like you right fully asked, if he was even playing??
He was fairly involved in tackles and cleanouts, but he's not a player that's going to shift the direction of a game for you. Can't see him coming off the bench and doing a Kwagga against France, for example. Solid at best, but slow, which makes him a massive liability against fleet footed chaps like the Argies.
Actually Dud Toit was the final act in the last Irish test….feebly not contesting the ball right at his feet. Van Staden’s was an earlier mistake Dud could have rescued by denying the Irish automatic ball. Just a bit of pressure would have made a difference.
The absolute truth…van Staden’s act occurred before Dud’s feckless failure to contest.
At minute 77,23 Kwagga passes to van Staden who loses the ball in contact just outside our 22. Ireland make metres with the ball as Dud Allende lopes along and clear a rolling ball into the 22, that Sacha mistakenly handles into touch just outside our 22.
Ireland win the ball and execute a phase, then ….the runner falls right at Dud Toit’s feet, but his instinct is not to compete, he dances back from the breakdown. The ball is quickly recycled and Frawley makes the drop. Nobody else had a chance of slowing the ball.
Even a counter ruck would have probably done the job…Ireland were intent on the drop, the only useful tactic was to disrupt possession, not peal off to protect for a never going to happen backline move.
He was meant to compete for the ball on the ground like a loosie…but we all know he is a lock. If that was another loosie his first instinct would have been to compete for the ball.
So you were wrong about van Staden’s screw up and missed the bottle out..to use your parlance, you talk shit
Mozart
The ehading of h i th resad is "Uncovincing by he Boks - bu your cotibtion is about you petred f Du Toi. The topic and what you make of it is sickening.
Speak to Dave, he claimed van Staden lost the test, I simply pointed out that Dud Toit had a chance to save it. Or tell us more about Esterhuizen.
Mampara power you are an ignorant psycho.
You obviously have no idea about the bonds formed by brothers who have gone to war and triumphed.
Rassie because of these bonds formed with the players maybe tempted to hang on to some players a tad too long. It's a big challenge for him. I think Rassie will get through this challenge. Fact facts also, Rassie has great people skills, motivational skills. You can't underestimate these qualities
Mampara power not understanding relationships wouldn't have a clue about these things.
Stop showing your abysmal ignorance mampara! Best zip it when you are out of your depth which of course is often the case. Hahahahahaha.
Rooitwit has great difficulty in judging players. He even thought Luke Watsom was better than Schalk Burger. Unfortunately for the dope Burger then won World Rugby Player of the year and Luke never had a Bok rugby career!
Bwahahahahaha. One of the biggest blunders ever on tbe board only really surpassed my ou mozzietard trashing Du Toit and Rassie. Those have been the worst blunders ever by anybody.
