The cutting remarks stink…whether they are racialistic, character assassinating, insulting or downright profane. All of us are guilty (bar a few newcomers who incidentally are an African (Ntanga) and the other a potential Puma player (Ole Cruz) who is contracted to the Chiefs…guys don’t spoil it. These guys are just decent guys who want to share a bit with us. Foul and derogatory language is not needed…it is not manly to swear…it is not manly to puff yourself up and be proud and arrogant…to play games that are weak with one another. I once saw a toad when confronted by a night-adder puff itself up (to make itself look bigger, hoping this would intimidate it’s opponent but this did not intimidate the adder he simply struck the inflated toad with his fangs…deflated the air inside and swallowed it easily. Rugby (it was said) used to be a ruffians game played by gentleman, opposed to association football which is the other way round. Actually this not entirely true…rugby is a very tough game but a gentleman’s game nevertheless and is best enjoyed rough and tough but played with gallantry and true sportsmanship. Let us keep it that way. I’m a Christian albeit a very flawed one and need to get my own house in order…I’ve been guilty of passing wayward comments…especially to Rooinek and Saffex. For this I apologise from the bottom of my heart…sorry guys…way out of line and yes, I really did not mean it but that still does not excuse. Just remember it is hard to recall and squash words that come either out of your mouths or are written. It takes a man to forgive…Mr. Mandela forgave and for this I respect him. He is no icon of mine, neither is any other man living or dead only Christ. Whether you are great in the public’s eye or just an insignificant ordinary person such as I…we are all flawed and sinners and fall very short of God’s standards. None of us can make it on our own…we need a perfect intercessor who stood in our place for our iniquities and sins…errors, faults, imperfections…etc and paid the price for what was rightly due to all of us. All the ugly words should be apologized for…each one saying they are sorry and sincerely mean it...differ by all means but respect each other…have fun with humour…tease banter etc but don’t go beyond that. Remember 2 wrongs never make a right and manners definitely make a man. Having said this I have no wish or desire to enter into a debate about this for I believe it is the truth.
Unmanliness on this forum.
Its funny at times how heated some get just because of a different opinion on something. Very immature. Or take rugganut for instance moaning about snapsters language and the doing the same by calling him filth! Very contradictory.
I think we should all retain a sense of humour. Also be able to handel an opinion different from their own without throwing toys out of cot. But the oaks enjoy having a go and unfortunately at times some oaks get a little nasty. However the tide changes and on we go.
Avoid extremes of bad behaviour.
I do aplogise for calling kiwis bird brains but sadly cant resist it. Its sits so well. Hahahahahahahahahahaha
Thanks Mike...you are one that admits his faults...that I respect.
Having said that your and Saffex's argument get a bit non sensical on varrious players.
The banter (well it's not exactly banter) on FS for example..the way I see it is simple.
FS is a talented player but has his problems...I believe if he was born pre-professional rugby he simply would not had these problems...big money, arrogance and luxury are no friend to this game that gives a comfortable living...least of all fanatical hunger to represent your country. Having said this this does not necessary apply to every single player...I think it applies to most however.
Gone are the days of Mannetjies Roux, Danie Gerber, HO De Villiers, Rolls Royce Juba etc. Did they ever have slumps...maybe but we never saw it.
OK I'm going off the subject and taking a dangerous line...others might welcome this as a red herring.
My point is wrangling with useless cause which exacerbates the a certain mindset...argue by all means...make your point and rest the case but do not go on and on...people are entitled to their opinions...in the end the truth comes out anyway. None of us are soothsayers or prophets.
But Mike and Saffex leave this alone and Kolisi and Silky Hands. Incidentally I do not agree with others but so what.
Here are some selected quotes from the same stinking hypocrite who is lecturing other posters on foul language and insults:
SubstantialBull: "Dear old Saffex..do not be a cunt. Listen to my drift...you are a shit communicator..."
SubstantialBull: ". . . you are simply a damn ugly person with a very weak character."
SubstantialBull: "Stick that chillle bite up your arse ...you imbeclie and trogan mole and lets discuss rugby with respect...arsehole!"
SubstantialBull: "think my heading says it all.
Thank the Divine Creator that not all of us are so shallow and bigotted.
The ink is starting to run..
Most of you experts are a fucking dead loss!!!!
What about Kolisi??
Silky Hands???
Francois Steyn ???
Oh Shit need I go on???
Oh well thats the rugby proleteriat...fucking peasants...(oops moderater Normally use clean language but when I do nobody here understands me ...I'm just trying to connect)...big pretenders"
SubstantialBull: "Any other suggestions to make Saffex losing his cool will be sincerely appreciated. LOL"
It's actually quite hard to believe that this same low-class, foul-mouthed, childish and ill-bred loser is preaching about things like language, insults and decency.
Hey rooiwit I always think it a hoot when you get all self righteous and on your moral hight horse. Hahahahahahahahahaha.
By the way its these statements Seb is apologising for. All made in the heat of battle. The interesting question is why get so heated. We can all ponder that.
Who's getting heated, Baboon-ou? Do you think that a half-witted ape-man like you or the common and ill-bred SubstantialBull who clearly can't hold his liquor can get me hot under the collar? Pfffffffffffffft!
Dream on, chump.
You guys fight on!
Sebastien, a nice thought but as you already see probably not a popular one.
In reaction to the racist remarks by a poster who shall not be named, I too have gone off the straight and narrow and for that I apologise to all the other people here accept to the guy who started insulting me, until such time as he does the same. It hurts when some unknown insignificant "lawyer" (LOL) gets all sanctimonious in his posts.
To all and sundry this uneducated coloured boytjie ('cause I cannot lie like some and say I am what I am not) says "Ek is jammer" - I am sorry!
And to that lawyer whose mother still baths him. Voertsek, until you also say sorry, nê
CC really how low are you going to sink. Up your game boet!
That's alright Rooinek I understand you are angry but I apologised and acknowledged my error and faults...I asked you to forgive me...this I can only ask I cannot force or demand.
All I can say is that to give bona fide forgiveness is the strongest force on earth and those that struggle with it are to be pitied...Clean Cut if this unbelief is your problem mate...show some respect for those who have found peace and meaning in this belief. I'm not interested in having any conversation with these sensitive and private matters with those that are ill mannered and have no respect for themselves and their fellowman. The whole world system is bound up in double standards, deception, cheating, lies, hidden agendas and hypocrisy...least of all Christianity as portrayed falsely by false evangelists, preachers and so called prophets on TV and mass media today. Actually cannot blame people for rejecting it...you only find the true Saviour in the gospel of the bible. He died for our sins and is the only one that rose from the dead and conquered sin and death. All of us all guilty to a greater or lesser degree...none perfect and clean cut, Christ is true...one day you'll find that out...I hope in the right way before it's too late. I've apologised and it was necessary.
My pleasure CC always a privilege to deal with the one non hypocrit in the world!!
As for the Christ you couldnt be more wrong. He died to save us from the curse of the evil one and our own sin. First however you need to acknowledge that you too are a sinner. If you only think everyone else is a sinner but not you yourself you need to think more carefully.
As Christ said when dying on the cross - Father forgive them they know not what they do.
My apologies to Sasuke I was again pretending to be the noble Beeno! I had best stop mess
Well said Bluebok!
Now can we all man up and get less sensitive. Ou rooitwti was about to explode and we dont want that!
A bit more civility would aslo help matters.
"Both Saff and Rooi get a little "descriptive" at times . . ."
Really? Are you implying that I use profanity, Bluebok? If so, do you have any examples to back up this claim?
Rooitwit I doubt Bluebok keeps copies of everything folk say here like you do to use later as evidence but I can assure you, as an impartial observer, that you make many an unseemly below the belt comment.
Now please stop being so self righteous. Bwahahahahahahaha - if its not saint mandy its saint clean cut and st rooitwit!
"Clear enough for ya? Good."
What's clear enough for me, Bluebok, is that you cannot provide any evidence to back up your claim so now you're pretending it's because you're lazy and you have a bad memory.
Well. my advice to you is - if you really are that lazy and your memory is so poor - don't make snide little insinuations like your one above until you've checked out whether they have any substance or not. That way you won't come across as a sanctimonious and finger-pointing tosser.
Clear enough for you?
I've only noticed now that CC's posts are all blank. I'm guessing he said something that was beyond the pale as far as the mod is concerned.
The only other case of moderation on this forum that I can recall is when some foul-mouthed knuckle-dragger pretending to be a Kiwi had all his posts replaced with words to the effect of "I'm being censored because I've got a potty mouth". That way at least we had a clue what the moderation was for. Perhaps the Mod could so something similar in this case . . . if it is in fact a case of the moderator intervening?
That would be a first.....the mod removing the content but leaving the post registered...the homophobic fool isn't the sharpest pencil in the box
Sebastian nice try, but it's not going to work, Board predators like RooiAAS just see any apology as a sign of weakness.
Ofcourse he sees that ...because weakness is falsely portrayed or more importantly manly strength is absent in todays societies...consists of absent fathers, resulting in frustrating mothers...there is no strength or imput from wounded people of life...indeed no one is exempt from this. Rooiaas is a neglected child but really a good person with normal pride and he will hate what I say...including me...Rooiwit is something special in life...he has talents but is misunderstood. He distrusts me and you and himself but needs empathy from his peers whether they are weak or strong.
Rooinek you are actually (or potentially) a nice guy....ah but little bit confused, old chap...you have a few silent and sympathetic supporters here...good old Rooinek...just humour and I'm not being glib or insincere!
Ag Bluebok, if you want to stamp your foot and demand your right to lie about what another poster said without producing a shred of evidence then go ahead . . . just don't insult anyone's intelligence by trying to pretend "descriptive" meant something other than swearing . . . and dream on if you think I'm heated or angry.
I've just watched Daryl Impey pull on the Yellow Jersey of the Tour de France so I'm celebrating, chump! Do the same and get over yourself.
Get over it Chabal. We are South African our banter is cruel, consist on mostly personal insults which contains foul language. But it does not we mean it or say it in anger or that we do not like the person. Its just being said in the heat of the moment if you said something we don't agree with. If you think most of us are bad you should go to a game at Loftus in a WP jersey and go sit where its a sea of Bulls supporters.
And yes I am a doos. But I will only act like one to defend myself. So take a bite of me and I will bite back and I will do it dirty or whatever way.
@Rooinek
You must remember in SA the word C##t maybe seen as a highly offensive word but in most countries it have a simple meaning like a expression telling someone they are a idiot or a arse. Its like the word Doos we use. Might be highly offensive depending to whom directed. But C##t and Doos are basically the same. So if he says your a C he doesn't mean it in that highly offesnive manner but same as we call each other a Doos if you acted like a arse
Bluebok, Daryl Impey raced in the Tour last year for the same team. I don't think he expected to ever wear the Yellow Jersey of the Tour de France because he's not a climber, he's not a time trialist and he doesn't really get involved in breakaways . . . he's not even the team's main sprinter . . . but a number of unrelated and unlikely events have made it possible for him to fulfill every road cyclist's dream and pull on the Maillot Jaune.
For starters there was no Prologue this year. Normally the Tour starts with a short time trial that serves the purpose of splitting everyone up in the General Classification. This year there was a bunch sprint meaning everyone in the front group was awarded the same time and the Yellow Jersey in that case is awarded on places rather than on time.
Then there were the bizarre events of the opening stage involving the Orica Greenedge bus (coincidentally, the bus of Impey's team) which got stuck under the finish line and caused so much confusion that they changed the finish line and then changed it back again when they finally got the bus free (with a few minutes to spare). This caused enough confusion in the peleton to cause a huge crash that left about two thirds of the peleton including most of the big name sprinters in a group behind Impey's group, giving him and everyone else in the front group a big advantage.
The next thing that played into Impey's hands was the difficult finish of stage two when the majority of sprinters were dropped on the hard climbs and Impey led out his team mate Simon Gerrans to win the stage and move himself further up the General Classification (remember, there were still no time differences at all at that stage and the Yellow Jersey standings were still based on aggregate placings every day.
The first time some genuine time gaps appeared was in stage 4 which was a Team Trial and Impey's team Orica Greenedge were the surprise winners and suddenly Daryl was in second place overall behind his team mate!
The final coinidence was at the very end of yesterday's stage when Daryl led out his regular team sprinter Matt Goss at the finish and a very small gap opened up behind him . . . enough of a gap to give the front group separate times to the rest of the main bunch (normally when there are no gaps everyone in the bunch gets an identical time) and his team mate Simon Gerrans found himself losing a few seconds to our boy!
As you can see, it's a lot more complicated than simply riding faster than everyone else and I don't expect Impey to keep the Yellow Jersey after the big climbs coming up this weekend but he's already done us proud!
I'm particularly pleased because Impey became an instant hero of mine last year on the slopes just outside a village called St Jean du Maurienne on the climb to La Toussuire. I was cheering the riders on and waving a SA flag, looking for Impey (who was our only rider left at that point after Robbie Hunter had bailed). When Impey finally came past in the main group (quite a few minutes behind the leaders it must be said . . . but it was one of the stiffest climbs of last year's Tour) I shouted "Vasbyt Daryl" and he lifted his hand in acknowledgement. Doesn't sound like much but it meant a lot to me and I'm really thrilled for the guy!
What is tactical cycling? Do they tactically dope each a different level to elevate the one who dope the most in the race? TdF have been one big ordeal of cheating since it started and never stopped.
Spoon-buddy, it is unfortunate that this sport has been totally decimated by assholes who care fuckall about the sport but are purely aiming at making money. The sad thing is that it is almost true for all sport that turn professional (not that there is any profesionalism in them). Even rugby has undergone massive changes and money is ruling everything. Player from small communities that do not attend schools like Grey etc have very little chance of getting anywhere because daddy does not have the money to buy all kinds of "suppliments" to make boetie into a monster od a kid. Too much is done with the aim of making or getting money. Players run off to the NH to go play for heaps of money (I do not blame them) but when the game was nor pro, the best players stayed where they were. Look at all these unions and tell me how many of those players were actually born and schooled in that province. It is all a lie!
My guess......Impey was just swatting a pesky fly.
Freddy I see your point now see mine Its hard to trust a sport who have been filled with 100 years of cheating and a suppose to be legend who admitted to doping, not because he tested positive but because of ex cheaters ganging up on him. Let me repeat he never tested positive....
SO Le Tour de Cheat
