Sorry I made a balls-up - this should be under beeno's trumpet. 

Congratulations to Rooinek - he was right that the Democrats would take over the House of Representatives and CNN is totally ignoring the other side of the coin, the Democrats did not take one Senate seat from the Republicans.

Thus far the Republicans took 3 Senate seats from the Democrats - which was a real negative for the Democrats and the RP did not lose a singe Senate seat in the process.

There would be a real problem for Trump in getting certain legislation and the budget approved in the House, but the Democrats would have no chance to force things through because the Senate will stop their programmes.

I do not know whether the above is not a stalemate.   Fact is it will be easier for Trump to govern with the active help of the Senate.

The RP has now got 51 seats in the Senate, but there are 4 further States to be declared and a run-off election in Mississippi to be held later this month.  

The RP is in the lead in all four states, namely -

*   Florida  - Democratic Party - the RP lead by 54 000 votes with only 8 precincts to declare

*   Montana -  Democratic Party - this is a toss-up at present

*   Arizona  -  Republican Party - this is a toss-up at present

*   Nevada   -  Republican Party -  this is a toss-up at present

I think that CNN would not declare Florida because they are praying  for a miracle

As to the run-off election is concerned  - it is in a strong RP State

It is possible that the RP could end up with 56 Senators as against the 51 the y have at present,      

CNN has reported that the DP has won the Nevada Senate seat - a gain from the Republicans.   

However, they refuse to declare Florida where 100% of the precincts has reported and the Republicans still have a solid lead.

Looking at the House results the DP won a string of seats with very small majorities and whether they will be able to hang onto those in 2020 will be uncertain.

I had to get the results from CNN and kept it open until the last Senate Results have been announced.   I could not help thinking that CNN must have gone ballistic in their hatred of the Republican Party and Trump.   They seem to think that they are the DP election agents.

Let s give you a few examples:-

The politico website claimed that in Florida all the precincts have reported - CNN claimed that 99% has reported and there will for some reason votes falling from the sky.

In Arizona and Montana where all the precincts have not reported yet.  The click only on the Blue areas to see whether there are possible additional votes still to be counted - never on the red areas for the same purpose.  

I think that an over-emphasis on propaganda and one-sided reports are not what any reputable news channel  should use.   I have not watched CNN for years because I think their antics is not what a news channel should be about.  

Not the  ideal result for the Republicans. However, the RPs remain in charge of the courts

Masterminded another election...did not win the "popular vote" again, but he won the things that will count. 

3 out of the 4 key state governors too...well, according to my Google. 

There seems to be a large number of recounts going on.   Two of those are the Senate races in Arizona and Florida  both actually won by the Republicans.

The final count of Senators will only be decided after a run-off election in Mississippi,   The chances are 99.9%  that it will be won by the RP.   

So even though final result are not available the Senate will have -

*    54   Republican Party members;

*    44   Democratic Party members; and

*      2   Independent members   

The election of a Governor for Georgia is also decided - but the DP insists on recount after recount.
