Vermaak's tackle on Bosman was classical American football....put the head through the ball. It saved a likely try. And as the pressure mounted the Bools much have appreciated his clean clearing after Hougaard's bumbling performance. It's sad to see this once dynamic player fumbling away.
I thought the flyhalf battle was even....great pressure kicking by both 10s. But I have to say that last punt to touch by Lambie was just too conservative. For the rest the Sharks front row dominated. Steph was energetic. Coetzee and Alberts were taken out of the game.
On the Bools side they were committed. Kruger ruled the lineouts. Stegman was illegally effective. In the backs JJ confirmed his winger pace in preventing a try, although Lindeque did slow to boot the ball. The big loser today was Visser.....whose dead line kick gave the Sharks a last sniff.
