the best by far Super Rugby Fantasy game is over,...Fox Sport has announced they are not going to run their game next year

I was searching for some stats, and the Fox Fantasy site had a very complete players' stats but instead the next message was there:

"We’d like to thank all players who have taken part in previous seasons; the 2018 season will be the final year of this competition."

That is bad news indeed. Looks like we'll be stuck with Superbru next year.

Foxsport is a huge loss to Fantasy Game supporters.

Maybe there will be other games available next year - lets hope there is.   Superbru has deficiencies and is not the best game around.

A few years ago the NZ Herald ran a comp and maybe if enough of our NZ members pesters them enough - they may run a similar competition.

....there are always alternatives....Sportsdeck 's fantasy comp is very similar in format to Foxes one...they even process results faster than Fox...try that one next year maybe... it caters to many other codes as well if you like to keep up with who are all the best  performing players in various codes ...

That sucks. Fox Sports was def the best one in the market. Superbru looks like the preffered option now. Have to wait and see if any other viable options pop up from now till Feb. The NZ Herald one was good. I could make some queries their.

Luke

Please make the enquiries with the NZ Herald.

Unlike the Fozsport, Superbru has two deficiencies -

*  it does not price players - so the selections becomes far too easy and consequently less challenging; and

*  the player limitations from squads they impose often are problematic and it results in selection of problem players of weaker teams and does ot allow for selection of top players from other teams,

All in all less challenging and consequently less interesting.

ESPN also has a foxsport competition - I joined at one stage and did not participate further.   Can some of our cleverer members try and find the relevant information and tell us stupid ones how they actually operate.

The other site that might be interesting if continuing would be the Ultimate Dream Team competition - much more challenging and approaching the ideal Foxsport one .

Luke I have not joined the EOYT Superbru competitions yet.  I know you started a pool iro the Predictor game - can you please provide the Pool info pand just start a pool on the Superstars as well.   Urgent please

The Herald last ran a Fantasy Rugby comp in 2013. I looked at ESPN. And they ran a Six Nations Fantasy Comp. So it is possible they well run a Super Rugby comp in 2019.

Luke

There is nothing yet from ESPN either - but it is early days and apparently the 2018 6 Nations looks like the last comp they ran.

We will have to watch out for what happened iro ESPN in future and there may be more news on the issue by January 2019.  I tried UDT and there is nothing yet as well.
