...Congratulations to the Mighty Fijian Sevens team on their historic win...thoroughly deserved after a comprehensive win over GB in the final and given their dominance of the Sevens code for a number of years...they're now dancing in the streets of Suva

...as for SA ,well done getting a bronze medal...although it's not a gold it's something...try not to be too deflated - the Olympic games should be enjoyed despite a loss....No sporting event can match the Olympics for the pure celebration of sport...

...and if you're a little disappointed you've always got the Austrian Grand Prix to look forward to this weekend...there's no catching Brad Binders...very quick track this one...MotoGP’s top speed record is also under threat this weekend....

The ink is barely dry on the current mark, an eye-watering 354.9km/h...Say it slowly: Three hundred and eight three-point-four kilometres per hour!( peak speed Iannone hit before the uphill braking area ...that's flying

Congratulations to our Fijian cuzzies ! Having gone to school with them as well as trained and served alongside them they have my utmost admiration [ even got to have a couple of yarns about rugby with General Rabuka back in the 80s ,huge mana , scary dude not to be screwed with !] Fun to party with too and that includes one of my favourite uncles ! So glad they hammered the wee poms their heads wouldnt fit through the stadium doors if they had won hehehe...Interesting interview with the Fijian team and coach among others prior to the olympics .Playing on rock hard grounds in bare feet using a sand filled bottle or coconut has given them flair to burn and fabulous spacial awareness according to their coach but poor long passing and tackling skills but hey who needs that in 7s  eh ?Not Fiji !

 Pleased for Fiji.
The choking BlitzBokke had their chances and blew it ... as they usually do.
Nothing new here.

...Absolutely. A famous win...Fijians are naturally gifted at the game of Sevens.

They've got it all - size, speed and skills ,...just natural footballers and the best exponents of the game without doubt...the fact they shined in many of the other teams underlining this...

Lote Tuqiri instrumental in their winning ways for Japan...

Nayacavou and Bulumakau have been improving Scotlands game all season..

Australia has Henry Speight...France's best player Vakatawa by a country mile...

No Fijians in the NZ team though which is probably why we were so sh!t...

Mr Muttley a gold medal for NZ would have been nice but quickly forgotten but Fiji's first ever medal has the tiny nation in raptures !The wee Fijian islands will be rockin for a few months I reckon !

Sadly no Fijians in the hapless Boks side either. Just braided dudes that look more like drug dealers than rugby players.

When the line up is composed with players ready to blow up chances in order to get a political message through, it is hard to win.

SA had a number of quality players like n8 who is fit for 7:spirited, combative, explosive, with vision and passing.

The turning point in the game:when n8 raced down to the try line, n12 was the only support. When the rest of the team finally made it, the risks of scoring a try were deemed too high and one guy was urged to kill the chance by throwing a brick past the touchline.

AS STATED LONG TIME AGO, THE BLITZEBOKKE NEED SOME BIGGER MOBILE FORWARDS. THEIR TARGET IS THE NUMBER 1 SPOT SO TO BEAT FIJI THAT IS WHAT IS REQUIRED.
THE ABSENCE OF SENATLA AND A FEW POOR DECISIONS COST THEM A  FINAL SPOT.FIJI WERE WORTHY WINNERS. SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SILVER
THE BIG QUESTION IS THE HAPLESS WEE ABS PLAYING 4 MATCHES AND WINNING ONE. tHE WEE jAPS PUT THE WEE ABS TO THE SWORD. SAFE TO SAY THE HAPLESS ABS ARE NOW SEVENS MINNOWS. HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
THE MEDALS WON IS MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN BEING ABOVE ON THE TABLE BECAUSE YOU HAVE ONE GOLD.I SEE OZ ARE DOING GREAT AND ONCE AGAIN SHOWING UP THE HAPLESS NZ OAKS! APART FROM RUGBY UNION IS THERE ANY SPORT WHERE NZ BEATS OZ?
IN CONCLUSION IT WAS ALL VERY UNDERWHELMING FROM A KBBS POINT OF VIEW.A SLOW BUNCH OF PLODDERS WITH LITTLE IDEA AS TO HOW SEVENS SHOULD BE PLAYED.BEENO CALLING A SPADE A SPADE AS ALWAYS. A LEGEND IN HONEST COMMENTS!

Brycy you know me. Always sound common sense. Isee SA now has 4 silver and one bron ze. Only the daftest hatter thinks 1 gold trumps that! Fiji have only 1 medal.

I see the oaks are struggling so time for some much needed Beeno assistance.Firstly to correct my good friend Bob. Bob the post is about Fiji being ahead of SA on medals table. Its not about nz versus SA. I trust you will grasp the point.

Next before Van Niekerks brilliant gold and world record we had 5  silver and 1 bronze verses  gold of fiji. True the tables use gold as the keystone. However if one country had one gold and another had  100 silvers and 100 bronze medals only a complete buffoon would argue the country with one gold was a better sporting nation.A better way to assess matters would be to weight gold at 3, silver at 2 and bronze at 1. Under this more reasonable system fiji get mere 3 points SA gets 11. Showing SA to be far superior to the hapless fijians! However now with Van Niekerk achieving his world acclaimed gold blowhards like poor Brycy and of of course of that noted dope warped DUD are looking very foolish whatever way one looks at matters.
Beeno having he last laugh as usual   BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA its like taking candy from babies!

I almost missed poor traditionalist vacuous comment gold is better than silver and bronze. Yes we all know that Trad but don't tell one gold trump*s  another countires bag full of medals exclud ing gold.
Well I suppose that's why I am here - to help the oaks here struggling with basic logic and common sense!
