Pyle deserves his selection. One for the future if you ask me.

A bit surprised at no Ged Robinson. Had a solid season. Again!!

No Kurtley Beale?? Is he injured??

Ashley Cooper - completely over rated. Useless.

Cleancut Robinson is a New Zealander who will play there and not in Australia next season. I think he should walk into the AB team - they really have nothing else worthwile as hookers.

1. ?

2. ?

3. ?

4. ?

5. ?

6. McMeniman

7. Liam Gill

8. Ben Mowen

9. Genia    ~   9. Nic White

10. QC       ~   10. Bernard Foley

11. Betham

12. JOC

13. AAC

14. Folau

15. Mogg

Based on for I'd pick White & Foley over Genia and Cooper (sorry redsman) but we know McK has natural bias toward the Reds

oz really need to find a cohesive tight 5, it has been their biggest problem for a long time now. Glad to see Foley and especially Nic White, he really should be next in line after Genia.

wffunston Thanks for the info. One wonders what actual playing team would emerge from that squad. I would guess the following are the front runners in that respect:- 15 Jesse Mogg, 14 Israel Folau, 13 Adam Ashley-Cooper, 12 Christian Leali'ifano, 11 Nick Cummins, 10 Quade Cooper, 9 Will Genia, 8 Ben Mowen, 7 Michael Hooper, 6 Liam Gill, 5 Jame Horwill, 4 Hugh Pyle, 3 James Slipper, 2 Steven Moore, 1 Benn Robinson Replacements: 16 Saia Faingaa, 17 Ben Alexander, 18 Sepoke Kepu, 19 Kane Douglas, 20 Jake Schatz, 21 Nic White, 22 James O'Connor, 23 Peter Betham/Joe Tomane I can be wrong with some selection - but think where there is a questionable selection - the Reds player will be preferred by McKenzie. The team has some weaknesses - I think Centers are one of those - Cooper is not everybody's cup of tea and the locks are also questionable - though I like Hugh Pyle is the really outstanding choice. Without Higginsbotham - there are question marks about the loosies as well.. However a strong team - provided McKenzie does not go overboard insofar as selection of Reds players is concerned.

wfunston I saw your picks only after I put mine in. Not sure about Hugh McMeniman - maybe he should be on the bench instead of Schatz. Hooper is to my mind the top loosie at this stage - what to do with him remains to my mind a question. What to do with James O'Connor remains a major question. Because of uncertainty I put him on th bench to cover various positions in the backline.

 Mike,

I would choose McMeniman on the bench (instead of Schatz) as he is also a good option at lock. I would choose White and Foley over Genia and Cooper based on current form but McK's bias toward the reds is obvious so I can't see any of the above happening.

I can understand that AAC isn't everyones cup of tea but for what reasons? and is there a better option at 13 in the squad?

Also I didn't pick hooper because Gill, in my eyes, has played himself into the 7 jersey. How well would Hooper go at 6?

Also just noticed the ousting of Beale.... Discipline?

My team

1 Robinson 2 Moore 3 Slipper 4 Pyle 5 Horwill 6 Mowen 7 Hooper 8 Kimlin 9 Genia 10 Lealifano 11 Tomane 12 O'Connor 13 Cummins 14 Folau 15 Mogg

I think Porky Pig has an issue with Higginbotham, hence his exclusion. I though he had a cracker of season this year at 8 and should by rights have received the nod. Reckon it has something to do with his move to the Rebels.

So much for a clean slate given to all players.

Higginbotham, McCabe & Digby are all injured and will miss the entire RC. I have just seen that Beale is undergoing shoulder surgery

Mike would love to. How do I sign up?

good to see cream filled mackenzie throw cooper back in the mix, cos the bledisloe will be staying in NZ for another year.

not sure why AAC is even questioned, hes one of the wallabies best backs easy. cant think of a better 13 in OZ at the moment.

smart move adding New Zealand born betheam into the mic, sweettooth mackenzie knows the more kiwis in the team the better of the wallabies are.

hooper has gone well at 6, he played there when pocock was at 7 for that short time he was back in rugby.

awesome to see foley in the wallabies though, he has a much better all round game then cooper plus the added bonus of the whole team dosent need to acommodate their defensive structure just to accomodate one useless player.

ged robinsosn will playing in the ITM this year for north harbour, but still hasnt locked up a NZ spXV team, soemthing tells me that either the blues or hurricanes are his best bets.
were he to be available for the wallabies, i dont think he would ever manage to surpass moore and polotu nau, as those two are class and thrid on that pecking order would prob be saia faainga who now has the reds security blanket.

speaking of faainga, LMAO at anthonys selection, i love good jokes, :oP

my wallabies team
1 b alexander, 2 s moore, 3 j slipper, 4 k douglas, 5 j horwill, 6 b mccalman, 7 l gill, 8 b mowen, 9 w genia, 10 b foley, 11 j tomane, 12 c leilafano, 13 AAC, 14 j mogg, 15 i folau
16 t polotu nau, 17 s sio, 18 r simmons, 19 m hooper, 20 n white, 21 j bieber, 22 p beteham

wfunston When you register with test rugby go to the site and when you get in go through the required application form. They will ask you to join a league and type in Stupidzone - that is the present league of most of the members on this site.

Shezz Nice to hear that comment about Jams O'Connor - t always over the moon about Mogg- he has let me down in the fantasy competition far too often by under-performing. Talking about that - you are very welcome to join the fantasy competition and identify your favourite players in the squad selection. Will take you about half an hour on Friday and you watch gams much more carefully in the process. Not as easy as it sound and the better participants - of which you no doubt will be one - can then brag about how well they can evaluate player performances - not only of SA players - but also those from the other countries involved..

I would but my laptop is broken and I'm currently using my phone to get on this website, plus I don't have the sky sports package as its £20 extra so I don't watch any Kiwi or Aussie games other than the Cheetahs and the majority of the SA teams online.

Gosh....and there's Scott Sio. Now why I ask as I roll around on the floor would the fat man choose a Brumbie, 112 kg prop, who is supposedly so illegal any competent ref is going to blow him off the park. Could it be he was impressed with how he destroyed Coenie last Saturday. Or hey, maybe he is just another stupid fella......hahahaha.

No Kyle Godwin? Would have thought he would at least be in the extended squad.

Good question Oimatey. I'd be tempted to pick Kyle Godwin in my Wallaby starting XV, never mind the extended squad.

I kept an eye on Godwin for the whole S15 season because he was a cheap buy in the Foxsport Fantasy and he sat on my bench for the whole comp. Can't tell you how many times he scored more than my starting flyhalf! I'd have scored a lot better if I'd stuck Godwin into my starting XV and left him there. A very impressive young player.

Edit: Meant to add, one player who has been flying under the radar the whole season and who definitely deserves his call up is Peter Betham. I won't be at all surprised if this guy makes it as a test winger.

i agree, godwin has been awesome this year, one of forces standout players and IMO their best in 2013.
but another spXV season under his belt will do him good. hes been on the aussies radar for a while though, often mentioned on rugby HQ which is the aussie rugby show.
