Australia: 15 Israel Folau, 14 Adam Ashley-Cooper, 13 Tevita Kuridrani, 12 Matt Toomua, 11 Nick Cummins, 10 Bernard Foley, 9 Nic White, 8 Wycliff Palu, 7 Michael Hooper, 6 Scott Fardy, 5 Sam Carter, 4 Rob Simmons, 3 Sekope Peku, 2 Stephen Moore (c), 1 James Slipper

Replacements: 16 Tatafu Polota-Nau, 17 Pek Cowan, 18 Paddy Ryan, 19 James Horwill, 20 Ben McCalman, 21 Nick Phipps, 22 Kurtley Beale, 23 Pat McCabe

Interesting to see Beale and Horwill on the bench.

Fardy at 6 ... good choice I think.

Much improved without Cooper and Genia.

Now to find a spot for O'Connor.

I think O'Connor will be the inside center in future.  He is better than Toomua.   I think that the team is a huge improvement on the past one.  Genia is unfortunate though and Cooper is injured.
Will be nice to see though hw they perform against the French.  Think they will beat the French and if that team is to persist - we will have serious problems with them in the RC if Meyer kee ps up his rank stupidity in selections.

Adam Ashley-Cooper at 14?? Would have thought Aussie's in form 13 was AAC.. Might have been tempted to retain the Beale/AAC linking up with Folau combo..Any reason why Genia is out of favour now? He looked to be back to his best against the Highlanders on the weekend.
Anyway, him and Cooper are not good for the team I dont think. They think they as individuals are bigger than the team and must be praised. Looks like Ewen realises he needs to create a solid team culture and get rid of these individuals who think their place in the team is a guarantee!

Digbys overseas, NZ and OZ players only pick players who are playing domestically, so for Digby to be eligible he would have to return to Australia.

Toomua ahead of Beale is a poor call

It was the same center combo of last year-McKenzie is looking for continuity.Beale will get his chance. But I think his days just like Genia's are going to be short lived in this team if McCabe hits test form before him.

Lots of weaknesses to exploit AACs lack of pace, Nic White, Toomua, the ordinary tight 5.  Cummins and Folau will need to be quarantined...but if thats done....these guys shouldn't be a threat.
