Wallaby positives and negatives

The Wallaby game on the weekend threw up some interesting points. On the plus side the backs looked strong. Particularly when Foley replaced Cooper. There was some real defensive lapses though. Speight has some defensive issues and seemed to be targeted. Falou also seemed to be missing defensively at times. The loose forwards looked more agressive and McCalman had a good game. McMahon was also strong when he came on and showed some of the hunger we have been lacking. Our scrums still seem to be a problem and looked fragile at times. Genia looked slow and Cooper seems to be easing in. Look forward to seeing the team named this week. The potential is there to have a strong line up and should do well.

CD this was equivalent to the Worlds game the Boks played. Perhaps easier because the Worlds were determined to win....more difficult because it was played away. I hope to see an internet version some time.

Like Oupa m y sense of Oz is the tight five are not the best and you will struggle quite often in the scrums. In the backline Cooper has never really won the big games...I can't see that changing. But Foley was perhaps the most disappointing player of the RC after a great S15. Who knows what's best at 10.Kuridrani is physically the best 13 in the game....he is your ace in the pack. I'm also not convinced about Folau defensively, but he is great under the high ball. Lots of strengths and weaknesses.

The team also lacks experienced  leadership, I suppose that's where Genia comes in...but you say he looks slow. Gosh it seems only yesterday he left Cruden for dead down the right touchline.
