'ABasque, earlier in the week I would have agreed with you about the giant slap the Springboks are going to get on Saturday . . . but the more I hear AB fans talking about historic wins and huge scorelines, or ex-All Blacks suggesting their B team would be good enough to see off these Boks or the New Zealand press talking about how the Springboks will be embarassed, the more I'm starting to believe we're going to see a huge upset . . . and I'm not talking about the Boks losing by less than people expected, I'm talking UPSET!
Keep the big talk coming, Kiwis!'
GO BOKKE!
And followed it up with this attempt to hedge his position:
'"Mathematically, it is stupid to expect anything other than a loss for the Boks, regardless of what NZ fans have to say."
Well then, maybe I'm stupid but in my experience, when New Zealanders get over-confident and start assuming big wins is exactly when they fall flat on their faces.
Remember the 2003 RWC when they painted their front row onto the jumbo jet in anticipation of winning the Cup? Remember all the big talk before they got pasted by the Frogs in 1999?
I wouldn't be crazy enough to put money on the Boks winning but I just have a hunch.
Go Bokke!'
