To me it looked no different to the eye gouge Schalk made some years back, which was treated with horror and endless recriminations. It is a particularly despicable foul, so why the total silence. If anything Kolisi's act was worse, his hand wasn't naturally in contact with Cronje's face and then he deliberately attacked the face.

Even after this tweet, not a single peep.

What you think about this eye gouge from Siya on Ross during 1st minute? Clearly visible on TV @SuperRugby @SARugbymag @rugby365com

Seems nobody has a problem with it....I had a problem with the face attack.....your image makes it appear more directed.

It looks terrible and if it was deliberate he should get a hefty ban. Hard to say from a pic.

A sin binning ... two top Lions players ousted early due to injury ... dirty play ... on home soil ... as so nicely pointed out by Brycy ... and still thumped by 4 trys to 1.

Perhaps they should be the ones cut from the competition.

Mozart is apt to start this thread based on a photo - if there was a deliberate eye gouge - it would certainly have been picked up after the game and disciplinary action taken.  Nothing thus far - so what else can be expected from the guy who thinks that Kolisi is a BS player.
