Last year a similar thing happened. The club teams in England were raving about the performance of Francois Hougaard, who was badly exposed at international rugby. Coetzee fell hook line and sinker, only to later say that international rugby is not the same as club level.
SuperRugby has some better teams than European club teams. The Cheetas have shown in Pro12 that the club rugby in the Northern Hemisphere is good, however, it is nowhere near test level.
