There are two issues that had a massive impact ion the ultimate result - both involving Springboks. The two players were -
* Kolbe who scored two magnificent tries for Toulouse despite being faced by Stockdale - the top Irish backline player; and
* Coetzee who played for Ulster at 8 and kept Ulster in the game despite the teams forwards being under pressure until he was injured - where-after Toulouse went down in performance,
