I was in Montpellier to watch the USA-SA game and had a few beers with other spectators before the game. Argetina was playing France at the time we were drinking beer and some Sprngbok fans was cheering on Argentina. A Frenchman came to me and asked why we were cheering Argentina and not France. I explained to him that if Argentina wins - we would not have to play France in the WC - unless they went through to the final. I then offered the Frenchman a drink to show my loyalty to France - I have extensive French ancestry - and that was the turrning point in teh discussion - he was cheering on SA wildly in the subsequnt match.
