WC Quarterfinal referees

The following are the referees involved:-

England  vs  Australia      -  Jerome Garces  *

New Zealand vs Ireland   -  Nigel Owens

Wales  vs  France            -  Jaco Peyper

Japan vs South Africa      -  Wayne Barnes

*   After the near to total bugger-up Garces made in the AB-Springbok game he will be watched carefully this time around,  He was one of the real culprits leading to the WC making a statement on deficient refereeing.  Because of that debacle I am a bit surprised by his selection as referee in any play-off game. 

Barnes refereed the Italy game of the Springboks and gave a very good refereeing display - so I have no dount he will be good in the Japan match.

Poor Australia. A true shit-show that game will be.

I see they've tasked the most respected ref with knocking NZ out.

I merely referred to Garces as being a major part of the WC report on refereeing deficiencies in the first round of the WC round robin games - nothing else.   No moans - just factual comments.   

Have to agree. It's astounding that an incompe tent/crook like Jerome should ref again in this RWC.

Ou rooibozo being as Crooked as they come should recognize a fellow crook!

Happy with Barnes ..... just glad we've avoided le froggy, with em having three toads over there.

Ireland and NZ are lucky...got the best ref of all.

SA and Japan also...Wayne Barnes is fine.

Barnes is a good ref  who isnt afraid to call it how it is...

Owens maybe already with hands in the kiwis pocket... what hes grabbing hold off may not be their cash tho....

poor ireland they are such likable people...
