I see we play NZ twice in NZ...no doubt because of NZ’s Covid concerns. Surely if that was the case one of the games could have been played in Oz! Out negotiated again....the same guys who agreed to Erasmus’ chicken run getting it wrong again.

So if there are restrictions flying to Oz, riddle me this, why are we playing in Oz:

Australia vs South Africa, kick-off time TBC, Suncorp Stadium, BRISBANE.

And the following week we play in  NZ. NZ could have travelled to Oz that week and played us at Suncorp.

.....

Explain what travel restrictions inhibit this scheme?

South Africa is still a Covid hotspot an New Zealand and Australia is  mot as food as New Zealand on that score.    So travelling between countries is limited to essentials.

The ideal would have been for the AB's to play SA in Australia and for the Aussies  to play SA in New Zealand - but  that would have been virtually impossible and reduce the financial viability o f the competition.

Please note  that the SA participation in the Rainbow Cup competition was cancelled because if the problem  the UK  had with SA players and  staff because of fear of the so-called SA variant of the virus.   So there are limitations on what could be done  in the case of SA team involvement  in competitions.   There can be no doubt  that the Aussie and  NZ Governments would have been consulted on the issue and the match schedule be determined  in accordance with their wishes.

The schedule I suggested was perfectly possible and much fairer, if still easier on Oz and NZ....the only fly in the ointment was the preferences of local NZ and Australian crowds who would naturally have preferred to watch their own teams. Which would have had financial consequences.

So money won out over competitive fairness. Reducing the financial viability as you point out.

There, isn’t it nice to just have an adult response.

I your point of view - bit that is not based on fact  and  your opinion,    You are totally biased against Erasmus and  you never had any evidence to support your wild allegations,,

Ja Moz, but fairness wasn't an option with our latest dealings with NZ and Ozz...Covid is being used as an excuse to nail us...can't you see it?

Sure I can see it Draad. It’s called a negotiation....we sent our team in to negotiate and they ended with a deal like this?

What about negotiations  with  the Australian and New Zealand Governments?   Whop was  the team sent to negotiate?   In any event there is no team sent otherwise  it would have been in the media and there was none.    What happened is that Sanzaar does all negotiations anyway and get approval for the tour schedule.    That under present circumstances  include getting Government approvals as well.    So wrong again as per normal.

So Sanzaar was our negotiating team. Only you would think we sent our rugby team to negotiate ....two steps behind as usual Perv.

Five points behind insanity caused by hatred in your case.    Sanzaar is not the SA representative,  it is the representative of all participating countries  and even though  SA has a rep on Sanzaar - he is appointed by SA Rugby - not by Erasmus.   Isn't it time that this insanity stop ?

The fact is neither the hopeless  failures Meyer and Coetzee were ever attacked by you  - in fact he loyally supported them - but from the day Erasmus was appointed streams of   attacks followed  -  all based on total BS allegations, lies  and deception.

When it was clearly pointed out to him that he was writing BS on site - he turned again into a vicious and unfounded personal attack on me.   I will respond to this type of BS in future using only the following- "BS Alert".

I still think it is too soon to be  bouncing between Argetina, NZ, Australia and SA.

Why don't they just do what they did last year. Host it in AUS. Let the boks be based in Perth, makes for a  better time zone for all and the games are not too early.

Bargies can be based in Brisbane and  the teams can spend the next 8 weeks in Aus and NZ.

Allow the Argies and boks to take their families with them and create a WC environment.

At least being in Perth forces a bit of travel factor

There  are  enough SA Expats in Perth to get a crowd in the stadiums.

We should be looking at minimising flights.

The days of having full stadiums are  over  for  SA right now, so just go play in front of some crowds  rather than this soulless empty stadiums we have to endure. Feels like watching player on a training ground.

Completely agree....any team that’s located in a city will draw support, maybe not against the host nation. But against other opponents.

The solution our negotiating team came up with is a total capitulation.
